You guys are awesome for even trying this!!! I don't think I'd be able to lift my arms after that. I still have to do my girl pushups in sets of 15!0

Desk pushups are not as hard as they are on the ground, give them a shot. you can do them, just put your mind to them, and if you can do sets of 10, it just takes a little longer to do the thousand...0

My form of girl pushups are desk push ups...well, kitchen counter pushups. I know they make a difference though, and I'll keep at them until one day when I'll be able to do a man push up!0

every little bit counts. I do them at night before bed, aka edge of the bed push ups...0

I tried to show my 4 year old how to do a push up today, and I just couldn't do a regular one. I got in a couple of girl pushups, but those kill my knees. One day I'll show him a real man push up, and about that time he'll also be able to say, "Wow, mom has some guns!"0

you rocked it! I saw you start this last night before I went to sleep and wanted to see how everyone did. Awesome, I must say! Congrats!! (I just got to work an hour ago, and not too sure how well it would work out - desk push ups, but I can try at lunch, jmust maybe not 1001). :bigsmile:0 -
anyone else stuck at work want to join me tonight for the 1000 desk push ups? Rules are simple, Have Desk, do push ups. Place feet about 3 to 4 feet back from desk and do pushups with your hands on edge of desk.

Would I have work up to doing 1000 all once? :noway: I've been doing 60 a day most work days (30 on morning break, 30 on afternoon) and yesterday decided to kick it up to 100 a day (50 in morn, 50 in aftrnoon). But I don't know if I'll go higher than that.
I also do reverse pushup for my triceps (stand with back to desk, hands on desk, then drop your body till your arms are at 90 deg angle and push yourself back up). I'm still on 60 a day (30 / 30) on those, but I plan to kick those up in a week or so.0 -
Still a lil sore after doing 500 of these last night. I'll do them again tomorrow!0

yeah, the shoulders and chest are a bit tight today, but overall a good burn. Maybe next week we can do chair dips? or maybe I will shoot for 1500? now thats just crazy talk...0

they are all pretty much the same program, just change the exercise. bottom line, if you want higher reps, you have to do more of them. lol but go for it... everything comes in time...0

I know I am necroing this thread but I just love doing desk pushups at work. I haven't gotten to the 1000 stage yet but I try to knock out about 100 a day. Now i feel like I am slacking so I will have to bump it up!0
