My homemade Mac and Cheese.... I make it for my family once week but I never eat it with them :-( although I do always sneak a bite.... hey I have to make sure it tastes good LOL0

Sweet Tea. If I was drinking something, 95% of the time, it was sweet tea. I used to go through a gallon in 2 days just at home, not counting any meals I ate out. I especially love Chickfila Tea. Whenever we went to the mall, (maybe once a week since they have a pretty awesome indoor playground for my daughter) I'd get a large CFA tea then get it refilled 2 or 3 times.
Now I'll get tea about once a week and get 75% unsweet then top it off with sweet. I don't make it at home anymore.0 -
homeade flour tortillas every time i make them for the hubby i like to smell the fresh batch lol0

Brownies.
When I first started dieting it was biscuits and chocolate that was hard. Now I often manage chocolate as I allow for it with my calories, but I've also since been diagnosed celiac, so now I really CAN'T eat a lot of things. I'm missing cake and pastry etc - not that I'd have eaten much anyway, but the fact I'm NOT ALLOWED is the killer. Not even a nibble. And before anyone suggests a gluten free alternative.... go try one first! Haha. And honestly, if all I want is a McVities Choc Digestive, no other biscuit can fill that gap!!!!0 -
I grew up on a Southern cuisine once summarized by a Hindu coworker as "beans with hog, greens with hog, hog with hog, and cornbread... with hog?" He was talking about our workplace cafeteria, but he could have been talking about my mom's cooking. I miss all of it.0

Kraft dinner (macaroni and cheese) with hotdog meatballs (cut up hotdogs).... not going to lie, I still eat this sometimes.0

I grew up on white rice too. But the way m family makes it with a lot of butter milk and sugar. I know it sounds weird but it is soooo good and hard for me to give up. I'm just glad I never learned how to make it lol0

REAL fried chicken...none of that crap you get at restaurants. The kind Mom made...a glob of Crisco in a cast iron skillet, coated with flour, lots of salt and pepper. Even better when it's cold!!0

I really haven't given anything up, as I allow myself whatever I want once a week.
But not being able to just go get chicken nuggets & fries from McDonalds whenever I want has been hard for me! Even with the cheat day.
Ugh see I thought about it and now I want it, lol. Guess I'll be having that on my cheat day (Monday) for sure now!0 -
McDonalds. At least three times a week, every week. Its hard to go from french fries to healthy foods- especially when I live at home during the summer and my family eats like that.0

candy and milk. I easily would drink 800+ calories in milk per day, and eat 1000+ calories in candy per day
I am trying to cut the calories for now. So far I don't gain weight as easily as I lose *fingers crossed it stays this way* so I am hoping when I reach maintenance I can eat 800 calories in dairy again, and am hoping to cut the candy down to 200 calories or less per day.0 -
Would have to be getting the meat pie from the dairy after school for me. Warm buttery pastry with lab mince filling... so so tasty and so so bad!0
-
Mac & Cheese and Bread....aaaaa the memories! LOL0

My gosh that sounds spectacular! How I crave fresh sour dough and Safeway mac and cheese >_____<0 -
The hardest thing for me - being half Irish too , is bread and potatoes!0

Has anyone tried a lower fat homemade Mac 'n Cheese? I found one at
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/252622/the-ultimate-makeover-macaroni-cheese
and it looks good! Being on a healthier eating plan doesn't mean you have to go without - you just have to get creative!0 -
Hot dogs... that's been a biggie for me. Chicken tenders and fries. Potatoes. And of course, Kraft Mac&Cheese. I know they aren't gone forever, lol. But being so early on in my journey, and seeing such good results, I hate to sabotage myself with this stuff.0

I love cookies, those nice big gooey ones yum yum.
However I thought I would treat myself to one the other day and I ate it and did not enjoy it as much as I used to. Would rather have some nice cold watermelon0 -
Nothing, what's life if you cant have what you enjoy i love sweet things I just don't have them everyday - maybe once a week as a treat.0

I have not "given up" any food. Some foods I have decided to limit. When I want a particular food I work it into my calories for the day. Denying myself some thing just makes my feel sorry for myself.0 -
What I would give for plate of my Grandpa's Sunday cooking! Cured ham, mountains of mashed potatoes with milk gravy, green beans with lard or ham scraps, salads with full fat homemade ranch dressings, and Grandma's pies for dessert!
I grew up spending lots of time in my grandparent's country store and home cooking restaurant. I used to serve 1 lb hambugers, triple portions of fries and glass after glass of sweet tea to all the people who came in there. I ate it all too and ironically was very skinny then.
Sure miss my Grandpa! But I keep in mind his health problems and why I can't eat like that all my life.
I know I would probably just take the potatoes & gravy!!!0 -

Me to!! I just want it even more!!0 -
Fried bologna with hot pepper cheese on white bread. I think I'd be sick if I tried to eat that now!0
-
Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal!! Oh, it's heaven in a box. It was my FAVORITE growing up in England, and then after we moved to the U.S. they stopped making it....until THIS January. I had a half a box a day habit. I couldn't keep my hand out of the box. Now i just can't buy it or it's all over. I love white rice and nice warm bread at restaurants.0
-
Bacon. I could eat the whole pound!!!0
