To those of you out there who are certified trainers:

I'm thinking about becoming a personal trainer. In my area, Portland Oregon, is the National Personal Training Institute, it is also nationwide. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this school? Any other suggestions for schools would be appreciated.

Thanks~
Diana

Bump. I'm interested in recommendations also. I'm in Ohio.

Never heard of them, I got my certifactions from:
    Penn foster
    (Very easy course to take)
    &
    International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)
(Lots of work but worth it!)

    Were they on-line courses?

I was interested in doing this too and a friend recommended ACE and NASM. Both are online, but my downside is the cost! I'm not going to be quitting my day job to do this, so $500 plus is a big investment "just for the fun of it".
