I've had Alaskan crab and Halibut while sitting in a restaurant in Skagway while watching them offloading it at the pier. Great stuff-funny though, the crab cost more right there then you can get it at buffetts here

I've had pupusas from a street vendor in Ahuachapán, El Salvador--they're a Salvadoran food. Think empanada but BIGGER. Tasted great but several of us got sick from the slaw-like stuff they had to put on them; thankfully, I passed on the slaw stuff and didn't get sick.

I've also had Mexican food at a Mexican Restaurant in San Salvador, El Salvador--close to Mexico anyway. Tasted just like Mexican food here though.

I'd love to have real Italian brick-oven pizza in Italy!

Coq au Vin in France...like, the real Coq au Vin...basically all French food in France...I have a slight obsession!
  • Yeah I heard fried mars bars are reallllly good, would also love to try a fresh lobster sandwich from the Atlantic provinces in canada mmmmm.....

Sorta in the same vein, I once had my perfect (at that time) fast food meal. It was my birthday, and my then girlfriend delivered lunch to me: a Wendy's Frosty, Mcdonalds fries, and a Burger King Whopper. YUM! :drinker:

I was worried I'd like it too much as well, but I didn't! It was alright, but nothing I can't live without which is super good since the guy told me how to make my own.

Pancake batter. Dip the Snickers. Deep fry. Cover in powered sugar. Voila! Deep Fried Heart Attack Candy bar.

I went to the NE this summer.
The philly cheese steak has to be from Ginos (Pats is across the street-I liked Ginos!)
    and
The NY Hotdog has to be at 2 am after a minimum of 2 ice cold beers at an Irish Pub! :drinker:
    and
Fresh Lobstah fresh from the boat in Maine!
I was afraid to fly home cuz all my food dreams had come true!  :flowerforyou:

weiner schniztel is a pork chop pounded really thin, dipped in egg batter then bread crumbs, then fried in butter. You then put a nice healthy peice of lemon on it to break up some of the grease.

    mmmmmmmm viener schniztelmmmmmmmmmmmmm
