AUGUST CHALLENGE NEWS UPDATE! The 100 mile team challenge can be done anyhow you like run, jog, walk, bike, swim. Doesn't matter. IT DOES Need to be extra. So if you typically bike 10 miles a day anything above that would count. Remember it's all about extra and pushing more! Keep up the great work.
Well then we got this in the bag! I Love Love Love my spin bike I certainly can do extra for someone else!
Thanks or checking Captain!

"n plus i work all day, im a single parent... and college starts on monday. Idk who im going to find the time then when I can hardly find it now.... "
I feel your pain sweetie. I used to be a single parent, college student, and full time job. Good news is I know you can do it!!! I'm still doing but I'm married now. Stepping down as captain is honorable in my book because I've always had a problem having too much on my plate and not backing off. I'm working on that. My life is getting ready to have an overflowing plate soon with both work, grad school, and kids and DH, but I am going to remain committed to you all and myself. I can't let myself down this time.
I've already gotten 6 of the 10 in for our challenge!! WOO HOO!
I'm sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I pulled a thigh muscle yesterday and babied it all night. Thank goodness, it feels better today I was so scared I wouldn't be able to do my workout.
3 checks for yesterday. Mountain climbers were interesting.
Done with my 21's and jumping jacks. Did a 13 mile ride today, I average 7-8.
Keep up the good work Ladies!!

I'll do it you all want me to. I am far from perfect though0

I hope the recipe did not have to be an original. I used this last night from the extreme makeover show and loved it.
12 corn tortillas (I substituted whole grain tortillas)
1 lb. ground turkey breast or ground chicken
4 oz. light cream cheese
4 green onions, sliced thin
2 cups grated low fat Monterey Jack cheese, or lite Jack-Cheddar mix
1, 15 oz. can green enchilada sauce
1 small can pitted black olives
2 Tbsp. diced Ortega chilies (optional)
Nonstick cooking spray
Fat free sour cream
Lettuce, shredded
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 9 x 13" baking dish with nonstick spray.
2. In small bowl mix ground turkey, light cream cheese, green onions and chilies.
3. Spread 2 Tbsp. turkey mixture and 1 Tbsp. cheese on each tortilla. Roll up and place in baking dish.
4. Pour enchilada sauce over enchiladas. Top with remaining cheese and olives, bake for 30 minutes.
5. Serve with shredded lettuce and fat free or lite sour cream.

I'm fine with this decision!
Capt. Netty, I thought you were doing a wonderful job, but I hear you having too much on your plate, this should be fun, not stressful. We'd like you to continue the challenges with us though
Personally, I think it's cool that we're all kicking BUTT on these physical challenges, and drinking our water. And if nothing else, we're all being mindfull of what we're eating, even if we are a little over! Personally, if we can continue on the challenge the way we have been, I'd say we're all WINNERS (I mean LOSERS!!!!)0 -

You have to know how to use microsoft excel, that is how tabs are being kept.0 -

I'm good with either of them, maybe one can captain and one can co-captain. I'm flexible (even more so now after my 3 sets of 21)0 -

-
Whoa! I was going to answer the same way Stephanie did, that I think both would make great Captains and maybe they could split up some duties so it wasn't so hard on one person......but I see you have already decided.
Now I'm just all confused as you issued a challenge? Or was that another challenge from Gary?0 -

Do we really have them again today?!?!?! Can you hear the whine in my voice? LOL No problem, I'm not letting a silly exercise get the best of me!!!
Love to you all,

Was it ever said what our official weigh in day is?
I peeked today and down another 1/2 lb. I'll take it!0 -
Hey guys! Ya'll are awesome! I'm going to post what I have for every one tonight so ya'll can check to make sure it's correct. I don't have some weights from last week. I'll be sending out messages.
Note on points: The scoring has changed. They are done on a percentage bases now (which is really good since we are down members). The new max number of points for a week without weightloss is 210.
- There is a max 100 points for the daily exercises with 5 points bonus if we all complete them. So, if all but one of us does the exercises, we will have a score of 95% which equals 95 points. If we all do them, we will have a score of 100% which equals 100 points plus we get 5 bonus points.
- Team Challenge works the same way. Max 100 points per week with 5 bonus points.
The big change is how weight loss points are calculated. They are no longer awarded per pound lost. Rather they are awarded on percentage of weight lost. So someone that weighs 200lbs and loses 2lbs will receive 1 point. Someone that weighs 150lbs and loses 2 lbs will receive 1.3 points. This is actually a more fair way to award points as it is (on average, generally) easier to lose weight when heavier.
We are earned 226 points for last week but that is without 7 weigh-ins so it could go up.0 -
Angel ~ I feel the same way about those d@mn jumping jacks. I have to do them in my kitchen because they make my pictures fall off the shelf. :embaressed:
Official weigh in is Monday However, you may weigh what ever day you prefer as long as you post it (or message it to me) on Monday. Personally, I prefer to weigh on Thursday or Friday since I am ALWAYS bloated on Mondays.
Pooh- Thanks for the catch up and FANTASTIC job on your miles.
Yesterday, I did my exercises and water but was less than spectacular on my calories.. stupid rest day.0 -
Congrats Joyous!!! You will do GREAT!!!
I did complete the challenge for Day 4 and I was under calories and over water!!!
On to day 5!!! I will check in later on that one0 -
I'm with you Angel... I hate jumping jacks! (I'm thinking a man came up with these challenges ....)0
