As Ive said before, theres always more than the # on the scale to use as feedback on your weightloss journey. So what has made you proud over this past weekend??
For me:
1) Beating my 5K PR by over 7 minutes!
2) Fitting into a size L jacket
3) Being able to do 20 minutes on the elliptical (I never was able to get past 5-7 minutes without my knee hurting)

First- congrats on your amazing weight loss!
I went camping this weekend and was not logging or exercising, but what I am proud of is only 1 s'more0 -
Went to a BBQ and didn't "pig out" or drink any alcohol.0
-
Beat my personal best on a bike ride ... shaved off about 5 minutes ... it was awesome!0
-
Husband AND I made it to the gym!
Watched Eureka at home while walk/jogging on the treadmill
Hooked up the extra tv so that we can start P90X0 -
Lets see I lost the few lbs I gained during my trip last week plus another 1.4 lbs, my size 16s I noticed this weekend seemed to feel alot looser(14s here I come), and yesterday I was bored out of my mind so I took my dog for a walk and for the first time ran quite a bit of the way, then while watching my favorite show last night I used my aerobic step for 30 min just up and down watching my show and exercising0

After being outside in 102 heat helping my hubby with the airconditioner, I still completed Power 90 Day 6!0
-
Not only survived, but enjoyed a hilly 10-mile bike ride on my new (to me) mountain bike yesterday!0
-
Fantastic job on your weight loss! I am proud that I didnt eat fast food Saturday or Sunday! We usually do on weekends lol.0
-
I made it to the gym Sunday and had a good day eating Saturday. For me this is good. Weekends are hard for me!0

Lost 6 pounds and fit into a size 8 sexy dress!!0

Did a practice 5K before I sign up for one at the end of September and did a time of 27:16 Min to try to improve on. BTW great job on your 5K this past weekend.0

*first time poster!
I am proud that I ran 10.24Km yesterday but then disapointed that somehow I have put on 2lb! How??
Does anyone know if it's true that if i'm putting on muscle I won't lose much actual weight?0 -
1. That I actually bought healthy food at the store, rather than the junk food I'm accustomed to.
2. I passed on a slice of cake at my grandma's birthday party, but did allow myself a spoonful.
3. I went on a date with a great guy instead of taking myself to the movies alone to inhale a huge bucket of popcorn!0 -
Great job! Not only did I run a full 5K without stopping (a first for me!) I also went to the town pool with my family and did not wear a shirt while swimming. I don't think I made any heads turn, but I was not embarrassed either. Still a long way to go, but we all need these small achievements along our journey to better health to help make sure we get there. Keep up the fantastic work!!0

- Taking apples and low fat snacks to the music festival
- Choosing a falafel over the high fat fried food on offer at the festie
- Choosing a veggie burger the next day instead of a big beefburger
- Not having chips just for the sake of it
- Stopping drinking when I knew I'd had enough rather than carry on because everyone else is.
- My friends saying how the weight I have lost is so noticeable now
GOOD POST!0 -
Did a practice run on the C25K on Saturday (officially started this morning) and went to the movies and only ate a little popcorn.0

Im glad you chose my thread for your first post Great job on the 10K!!!
The weight gain could be several things, could be water retention, you wouldnt have added that much muscle mass that would cause a weight gain though.0 -
I noticed that my size 18 jeans were barely hanging on to my hips. If I lose another inch or so, they'll fall right down to the ground!
I was curious and pulled an old pair of size 16 jeans out of my closet and tried them on. THEY FIT! I haven't been able to wear those pants in almost 2 years0 -

great job!!! love clothing NSV's!0 -
My proud moment resulted right after a least proud moment. I ate too much at lunch yesterday after church, but I logged it, drank a lot of water, and moved on!!0

On the longest session to date of my half-marathon (one hour of run 2, walk 1) I bumped into my old running group in the local park. I joined them for hill sprints and I was the fastest woman there - I was only overtaken by some teenage Ron Wesley lookalike! The I said my farewells and carried on with the rest of my run. Don't half ache today, though!0

Thanx!! Great time on your practice run, your gonna kill it at the actual race!0 -
This weekend was bad, in fact it was the worst I have had in the whole six months I have been on MFP.
BUT today is the start of a new week and I will take all the positives I can
1) I am very close to my goal weight
2) I am still a non smoker and have not gained any weight in the 12 weeks since I last smoked
3) I had a fab weekend, saw some old friends, ate [too much] good food and drank [too much] good wine
4) I truly feel "ready" to get fully back on plan today after my blow-out weekend! I feel like I'll have a good week :laugh:0 -
I'm proud of allowing myself a decadent and indulgent weekend with food without freaking out about it. I ate, I enjoyed and now I'm being good again without feeling guilty.0
-
My accomplishments this weekend:
1) Logged in everything, good and bad. I usually don't log consistently on the weekends.
2) Learned how I feel when I've had too much sodium.
3) Did not binge despite an emotional day and my tendency to do emotional pig outs.0 -

Love it! Moderation, not Deprevation!0 -
I took my kids to get ice cream but didn't get any for myself. I wasn't hungry so why eat ice cream just because it's there?0

I totaly agree that there's always more than the number on the scale. Sometimes the NSVs are far sweeter than the weight loss itself. Here were my NSVs this weekend.
1. I completed C25K Week 5 on Saturday which was the big hump in the program. Going from running at most 8 minutes at a time to running a full 20 minutes. I did it without stopping and when I got home I registered for my very first 5K race.
2. My bootcamp trainer took my measurements and after 2 months on this journey, I have lost a total of 29.75 inches and 12 lbs. My waist circumference is now in the healthy range and my BMI is out of the obese range.
3. I tried on a cute dress I bought for an upcoming friend's wedding and my fiance's mouth practically fell on the floor. He thought I looked amazing and told me how proud he was of what I have accomplished and my dedication to getting fit and healthy.
4. I celebrated my birthday last week and ate a red velvet cheesecake from the cheesecake factory. I still lost 1lb last week. It goes to show that you can have a healthy lifestyle while still having those treats once in a while. :happy:0
