    Checking in...
Had to double up today because I had Girl Scouts last night and they wiped me out!
    Day 1: 2 sets of - 20 windshield wipers, 2 sets 20 swimmers presses, 3 sets 21's
Day 2: 2 sets of - 20 tuck jumps, 50 squat kicks, and 20 globe jumps (had to modify to 2 feet towards the end - I twinged my ankle)

    100 crunches towards week
    1.5 extra miles

I forgot about the jumping jacks part of the challenge so I guess I will get on that after my regular walk in the morning.

So, if they team challenges run through Tues, then I can pledge 800-1000 crunches and jumping jacks and 8 additional miles. Miles are hard to pledge because when I walk/jog in the mornings, I push as far as time will allow each morniing so I never consider the additional miles 'additional' miles.

Oh yeah, I've done all my challenges today and yesterday. No crunches, jumping jacks or miles yet, but tomorrow's a new day.

(I'm typing this using the correct account, mine! Sorry for the confusion, u2fergus.)

Just wanted to take a minute to tell everybody how wonderful they are doing!!!

Tracy - thanks for doing a great job as our very motivating captain. I was one you had to track a weight down on. {{looks sheepish}}} So sorry. I remembered everything else but because I had a gain, I guess I blocked it mentally. Sorry! Good luck with the Lasik. I had it 10 years ago and LOVE, LOVE the results!

Kdmallon - Congrats on the new dog! What a great motivator to add miles. Way to go on those!

Szczepj - Great job on completing the challenges and the extra miles

kcgslp - Excellent job on those team challenges! Have fun at the wedding. Hope it stays nice up there.

    u2fergus - Woo Hoo. 300 crunches and 200 jj already! I'm impressed

heofon - uh oh. I think you need to do a few of your lovely ladies miles for typing on her profile instead of yours. lol

Go Team Skinny!!!! We have got this! We are :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: smokin!

Hi Team! Just checking in...I haven't had much computer time lately but I am keeping up!

I wanted to share that yesterday I went for a fitness test at my gym and I am in the 95th percentile for cardiovascular fitness! I am "elite" I was so happy to hear that!! They also helped me figure out areas I need to work on...flexibility and strength but I already could have guessed that!

    Challenge updates:

Day 1: Windshield Wipers, 21’s and swimmers presses - complete!
Day 2: tuck jumps, squat kicks, and globe jumps - complete!
Day 3: split squat jumps and wood chops - complete! (wood chops are my favorites!!)

    Monday Challenge -

    200 Jumping Jacks - done
100 Crunches,- make that 200 done!
    10 burpees - done!
10 mountain climbers, - make that 20 done!
    10 globe jumps - done!
10 Squat Kicks - make that 50 done!
10 ZigZag Hops - make that 50 done there too!

    Tuesdays Challenge -

I did a 4.5 mile run last night right before anti-gravity yoga on 6.0mph speed at the gym! wooohoooo!!

    Weekly Team Challenge -
Team Crunches -- I have done 500 so far this week (and I will pledge to do another 500 by weeks end!)

Jumping Jacks -- I have done 300 so far this week (and I will pledge to do at least another 200 by weeks end)

Extra Miles -- I have ran 8 miles so far this week ( and will easily do another 7 to make 15 miles for me this week but will probably do more, but I will commit to at least the 15! )

    that's amazing!!!!!

here i was happy to be doubling up and your blowing me away!!!! awesome!! I love it!!!

Can I just say how happy I am Gary put the points back in sept Tribal challenge. Yes it's a PIA chasing everyone down, but with 10 people, it's totally manageable! I need those bonus points to get our score up! weight alone would be difficult to win, especially with some captains recruiting people who have a lot of weight to loose. Granted, I aplaud what this captain is doing, because she's only helping people who really want to help themselves, but with only weight loss to get points, we wouldn't have had a fighting chance. I know personally, the points give me a reason to push myself to work harder. NO WAY i would have thought 1000 crunches was possible, and NO WAY i EVER would have thought it possible 2 weeks in a row!!! Because of the mini-challenges, i realize i'm a lot stronger than I thought!

All exercise challenges done for the day. Plus 2 extra miles, making a total of 4 miles. And 100 ab crunches and 100 jumping jacks down. (I almost forgot about these today since now I'm kind of in a rush!)

I know... I am REALLY happy Gary put the extra points back into the September challenge. I have the extra-point challenges to thank for my burgeoning rock-hard abs.

    For today:
    20 split squats
3 sets of 20 wood chops
200 jumping jacks (total of 400 for the week so far)
300 crunches (total of 600 for the week so far)

    kiltbunny Posts: 159 Member
    300 crunches
    75 jumping jacks

plus today's challenges - I did 40 of the squat jumps though. :)

I didn't do my 2 miles today - for the first time in my life I have... poison ivy rash!! WTF! I've never had poison ivy rash!! It's on my ankle and it's all blistered and icky!!! ewww!!

What is up with SKiNNYS and their limbs this week!!

Oh, no, KDMallon!! That's awful. I had that earlier this summer and you know what cleared it up? Jewelweed. From what I learned after I got it, jewelweed is nature's only known remedy for poison ivy and if you can find it in an outdoors-type store or a health food store or something like that, it will actually help. I got the extract of it in spray form and I just sprayed it on the spot two or three times a day and it stopped itching and cleared up, where nothing else had helped.

Also, my mum is a gardener and gets poison ivy pretty frequently, and she also said that if you can't find Jewelweed, Zanfel is also reasonably effective. You can find that anywhere--Walmart, drugstore, etc...

Anyway, that's such a bummer and I really hope it clears up soon! :flowerforyou:

ohh that sounds like what I need! Thanks u2! Have no clue where this stuff came from. I've been putting benadryl cream on it and this morning it seems ok - still bumpy and itchy but not as red. Someone told me it can spread and now I'm terrified of it! LOL

I am so happy that there are points other than weightloss. I can not seem to get my weight to move down. BUT, BUT... I have been completely all of the daily and team challenges. I already feel so much stronger than at the beginning of the month. It is helping the team to earn points that motivates me to go that extra mile.

Today for example, I was not going to workout because I volunteer in my daughters school once a week before work instead of walking. When I came home I went out to get at least a bit of a walk in. But since I counted that as my 'regular' workout, I hopped on the treadmill just to get a mile in for the team. And you know what!?! I went a 1.5 miles but I also did some sprints at 6.0. Since I walk/run outside, I never really know just how fast I am moving. It was great to know that I could do 1 minute sprints at 6.0 without flying off the back of the TM.

Not to mention jumping jacks. I was afraid of them at the beginning of the month, afraid of hurting my knees. Now I can crank them out in sets of 50 and even 100.

I may not have lost weight,:ohwell: but I HAVE gotten stronger and healthier. :drinker:

I only had time to do my regular exercise tonight (I managed to walk at 4 mph tonight... yay, foot! ) and then I was busy the rest of the night, so I'll double up on my challenges tomorrow.

I DID manage to turn down a Peanut Butter Cup flurry tonight, so I don't think I will bother feeling bad about not getting to my challenge exercises today.

Keep up the great work guys! My LASIK went a little worse than I had planned, I think because of the cold I woke up with and all the meds. I'm struggling a bit right now, didn't eat yesterday andonly a mcdonalds small fry today. I've been sick to my stomach and can barely get off the couch at the moment. I have to ask each one of you to please send me a separate in-box message with your weight, challenges, jumping jacks, crunches. And miles done so it's all in one Place and I don't have to dig through everyones posts to see if we hit the goals or not. SO SORRY!!! Thank you for all the support!

I did my regular exercise on Thursday and Friday, but I didn't have time to do the challenge exercises, so I did three days' worth of exercises today, and I am now totally sweaty, kinda smelly, but feeling completely awesome!

    Today, I did:
    2 sets of 15 swimmer's presses
    3 sets of 21's
    40 zigzag hops
2 sets of 20 burpees (had to do the modified kind after the first 6... burpees always hurt my knees after the first 5 or 6, so that will be my goal for September... to be able to do real burpees the whole time)
    50 squat kicks
    20 globe jumps
    20 mountain climbers
    3 sets of 20 woodchoppers
3 sets of 20 tuck jumps
400 jumping jacks (that makes 800 extra for the week... I'll finish my other 200 that I pledged tomorrow)
    AND........
1,000 crunches!!!!! (that makes 1600 crunches for the week... and yes, I'm starting to develop a little 6-pack)

Ok... I think I need a shower now. :blushing:
