To be honest, you're a bit of a fool, its not even stereotyping. I think YOU'RE the racist for even thinking about such things, and for desperately trying to find a racial undertone to her workout video. The black woman has a better body (in my opinion) than the white woman, so they put her in the harder workout. Nothing to do with race, its about physique.

I don't think that screams racism. I think that women of color usually have a more athletic build and can handle the harder portion of the video. Think about the top runners of the world usually come from Jamaica. They must genetically have more endurance.

Hmmm. Ever notice in JM DVDs, the "easy" example is always a blonde "Barbie" type and the "hard" example is always a ripped "woman of color"? I think Jillian is racist!

No, she is a lesbian tho. Lol but in my DVD I have four weeks and week one Was a blonde girl and a colored girl but week two is a blonde and a brunette.

There will be a sign-up sheet for other witch-burning crowd fare. Please indicate what you'll be bringing; marshmallows, Graham crackers, and chocolate for s'mores... will somebody volunteer their services as the circus vendor with all the crazy spinning light toys? Somebody could also sign up to be the photographer so everyone can get a picture of themselves by the pyre and my charred remains... yes, that would be WONDERFUL touch. Oh... Oh! I want a tee-shirt gun too!

I only find that she will say, "If... can do it so can you." and the person is in awsome shape, so I can try to do it, but not as good as the girl on the video becasue they are in better shape than me. Other than that, I havent noticed.

I think you have too much time to think about other things other than how much your muscles are burning. If you have time to think about other things other than that maybe it's time to take it up a notch and do harder DvD's/exersices. The ONLY things I notice when I am doing 30DS is how big of a ***** Jillian Michaels is and how much I hate her lol because I am in pain, panting and out of breath!!!

Forget about Jillian Michaels....Let's talk about Tony Horton. Ab ripper-x that ripped black dude is ALWAYS doing the hard variation, and the flabby white guy does the easy way out. I think this must be a commentary on history...Slavery, black people taking the load while white people slack...It's everywhere. And in fitness too? Jillian's obviously racist, didn't you see that biggest loser where the first people kicked off after the first workout was the MIXED girl and her BLACK father? Totes a sign.

Plenty of calories!!! Are you suggesting I modify the invites to mention there will be skyclad dancing?!?! A bit ironic for a witchburning, I LOVE IT!!! Yes, we don't want "what to wear" awkwardness like when it comes to Halloween parties (always the scandal!).

I've never seen the video. I don't think your question itself is invalid. The question of racism is a tough nugget to crack when it is so ingrained in our (American) culture and institutions. Then you throw reverse discrimination and "model minority" stereotyping into the mix and it's enough to make your head spin.
In any case, I haven't seen the video but I think this is a suitable Off-Topic question/thread.
