but I get emails constantly about how much people enjoy my little herbivore cartoon. :-)

I LOVE the herbivore cartoon. I have a friend who's allergic to gluten. She's ALWAYS bringing hummus to parties. I adore her, but the cartoon just totally reminded me of her at parties. How she's always asking what's in everything that other people brought, to see if she can eat it.

AND she makes a party rule that no one, absolutely no one, can dip directly. They MUST spoon some of the dip onto a plate. If they dip something that has gluten into a dip that she eats from, she'll get "contaminated." She's hilarious!

As a person that is allergic to glutens, I will tell you that what happens immediately following contamination certainly ISN'T hilarious. In fact, every glutening leads us closer to awful surgeries and cancers. So, try to remember that when you're yuckin' it up at your friend's expense.

Honestly, I cannot stop looking at it. Something about it is kind of creepy but very badass at the same time..
