    Mmm... lots! haha.
    Have you tried coconut oil?

One teaspoon is very little. How big is your curry dish?

I generally put a good tablespoon or two (though I make probably 4-6 servings on average and don't expect people to want to use as much as I do).

You should be more than fine with a tablespoon.

    None.

Buy some pam spray (US) or frylight (UK)

I don't buy oil at all and my curries still taste nice :)

  • Chicken broth has only 10 calories per 2/3 of a cup. I always recommend using chicken broth instead of vegetable oil or butter because it is a healthy alternative.

If the OP is making a spice-based curry, broth won't work - frying the spices in oil is part of what brings out the intense flavor of spices.

I usually use 1 tablespoon of oil when making curries. Coconut oil is especially good for this.

I don't use oil in mine, either. I use the Smart Balance cooking spray, and it works fine! Though I'm sure the curries I get out at restaurants load up on the oil. :ohwell:
