A friend of mine shared this with me! She got it from her trainer. I love it!!

    2 cups spinach
    2 frozen bananas
2 cups any kind of fruit (apples, grapes, ect)
    1 cup coconut milk
Add all ingredients to blender and enjoy!

This is a doubled, so I usually make it as half. I use the coconut silk milk and I use a whole cup. I also use frozen fruit and a fresh ripe banana. It makes it super smooth that way.

Shakeology is way expensive.. but if you can afford it.. I am not knocking it but it seems whenever I see "beachbody coach" the next phrase is buy "insert product here"

I'm with the above poster... no idea why anyone would pay that much for a shake.

Get a GOOD jug of whey protein and go for it.. my shakes are typically 150 cals, 1g carb, 0 sugar and 27g protein. That's just the protein and the silk pure almond.... then you add in things like fruit, PB2, pumpkin pie spice, various coffee creamers or pudding mix for flavor... tons of things you can do.

PS I'm a huge coffee addict so I often add instant decaf espresso or use a scoop of CLICK espresso protein on top of my good protein. Mocha coffee shake... nothing better for breakfast IMO :)

I use berries, fresh or frozen, at least 20-30g of each kind blue, black, rasp, straw...
    1 frozen banana,
    1tsp peanut butter,
10oz yogurt whey (strained from plain yogurt) frozen
1/2 scoop of chocolate EAS Advant Edge soy protein powder
    1/2 cup red grapes
    6 fresh sweet cherries
1-1/2 oz yogurt (from the whey)
    1/2 c Tempt hemp milk
I put it all in the vitamix and blend it to smooth.....if the banana and whey are not frozen then you'll have to add about 1 cup of ice cubes...Roughly 442 calories

I never said buy Shakeology. The OP asked for a breakfast shake and I merely stated what I use. I drink one every day, usually for breakfast, but sometimes for lunch. It works for my wife and I (sometimes our kids have some as well). Geez relax!!!

Hi I am looking for some type of breakfast drink or shake recipe, any that you like? Thanks!

My favorite breakfast shake is a banana bread protein shake, but be warned it is not calorie friendly.

    Ingredients:

    1/2 Cup cooked oatmeal
    1/2 Cup rasin bran
    1 Banana
2 Scoops vanilla whey protein powder
    1/8 cup walnuts

    Directions:
Combine Oatmeal, Rasin Bran, banana, and protein powder together in blender on high speed until thoroughly mixed. Pour into glass and stir in walnuts.

Though I thought it sounded gross, I decided to try this one:

    1c spinach
    1 banana
    2T peanut butter
    5(ish) ice cubes

It's AMAZING! Tastes like peanut butter/banana, and that's all! I kept looking at it thinking, "it should taste wierd!" My kids loved it too! Good luck!

    Strawberry Shake
8 oz. Silk light vanilla soy milk
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (I use Jillian Michaels)
1/4 tsp. Guar Gum (avail. at health food stores; adds smoothness)
1/2 tsp. Sugar-free Jello instant pudding mix
    1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
    About 1 to 1 1/2 c. unsweetened frozen strawberries
    Artificial sweetner to taste

Blend everything except strawberries until smooth. Add strawberries about 8 or 10 at a time and blend until liquified. Add remiaining strawberries and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

    Chocolate Shake
8 oz. Silk light Chocolate soy milk
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (I use Jillian Michaels or Designer Whey or GNC)
1/4 tsp. Guar Gum (avail. at health food stores; adds smoothness)
1/4 tsp. Xanthan Gum (avail. at health food stores; adds thickness)
1/2 tsp. Sugar-free Jello instant pudding mix
squirt or two of sugar-free chocolate syrup (optional)
Blend well until smooth. Add about 8 to 10 ice cubes and blend on "ice crush". Add another 5 or 6 ice cubes and blend again.

May need to play around with recipe to get just the right amount of xanthan gum for the thickness you prefer. If it's too thick, just add a little more soy milk. If it's too thin, add some more xanthan until you get the recipe just the way you like it.

Sometimes I'll add 1/2 T. of peanut butter and leave out the chocolate syrup and that's really yummy too!

The chocolate shake is about 200 calories w/o peanut butter and the strawberry is around 250.

it is rather simple and not very exciting but tasty especially in the morning when you need that extra kick.

7oz of skim milk (1%, soy, almond milk, whatever floats your boat)
    1 shot of espresso
1/2 medium size banana (the more ripe the better it will taste in the shake)
    ice, and blend

i make this almost every day at work, it tastes amazing and such little calories. its like having a dessert :-)

Here's one I like a couple of fresh bananas some strawberries some ice some apple juice or milk or yogurt (you need a liquid to mix smoothly in blender) sugar to taste if you need it and a teaspoon of protien powder readily available. This will help you feel full longer and you can try this with any combination of fruits.

I'm so happy to give you this recipe. B
