    My ears are still bleeding from seeing Megadeth play 12 years ago...

    Other good bands before the cookie-monster vocal era:

    Death Angel (can't get their early stuff on iTunes)
    Morbid Angel (close to cookie-monster vocals, but still intelligible)
    Suicidal Tendencies (especially Controlled by Hatred Feel Like **** - Deja Vu)
    Exodus

    I missed out on Morbid Angel months back. That would have been on. Suicidal are good but I haven't heard much of Death Angel. And another... Exodus. Didn't listen much to them either.

    And lol at the cookie monster vocals.

    it's a very cool cover version of metallica - maybe even better than metallica - it just came out

    I use metal exclusively for my cardio - walkman stays in the elliptical.

    This is more what I'm enjoying too atm. I frickin LOVE The Devil Wears Prada and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Whitechapel too. You've given me some bands I've never heard of so thanks for that. I'll check those out

    How so, though? Like, do you not like the guitar playing or something? I love James' voice, but I hate Kirk's playing sometimes.

    For the same reason I dont like country,I just dont.I dont think they are that great.In MY eyes they suck.Its all comes down to taste.
    Oh and their drummer is a little b*tch boy

    I got you haha. I have to agree on that last statement actually, butI love Metallica anyways. Their new stuff is catchy, but their old playing was amazing. I prefer Iron Maiden or Judas Priest anyway.

    Ah, I see. I sort of hate black metal and death metal. Sometimes it's just too depressing, or they scream too much.
