wed- missed calories by 150 . no others done-yard day.
thurs: cannot do those twists, back said no after 25. should be under sodium...will post back if not.
extra: 60 minutes jog/walk done.
tara - there are lots of posts on the forum regarding the starvation mode...(both yes and no)...from seemingly knowledgable people. The vast majority (if not all) seem to agree that it's not applicable if you are obese/more than 30 lbs overweight. That's me so i haven't paid too much attention to more details.0 -
Thanks for the info Butters1!!
Didn't do to good today. Was over calories by 210, no workout (was out of town) and over sodium by a little under 1000!! I did do 50 of the seated torso twist though.
So hard to do this away from home. I noticed that restaurants are not diet friendly!!0 -
thurs : 60 minutes jog/walk
fri: 60 minutes exercise bike + 45 minutes jog/walk.

stephanie- omg i got the zumba cd here @ home. i can't make it thru the instructions. my eyes bug out at even watching those latin dances(? is that really what they are called???). holy cow, im not a dancer at all so i did not expect easy, but really????????i think i could run a mile or three easier.
the funny part is, dh thinks he woud like to try this. LOL.
tara- wtg! i signed up at a gym for the first time in 20 years because they had a pool. they do have some classes so maybe thats more my style.
but the whole under 25 gym experience was a bit daunting. someone who looked liked the hulk signed me in. the machines all have tv's, and there is a cinema exercise room. huh? not to mention the machines are all huge these days.....don't know if ill go back.0 -
i forgot :
sat: will be under cal, no pushups cause i weeded. but did do another 60 mnutes jog/walk. heck i think i went faster instead of going to the gym.....0 -

That Is Awesome!! hahaha...
I was a dancer in a previous (er, um, less heavy) life and I have always loved Latin Dancing too. It is actually one of my goals to get back dancing in the studio after I am under 200.
But here's whats FABULOUS about Zumba...and they say this even when you go to class...YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT AS LONG AS YOU'RE MOVING & SWEATING! It is something for all ages and abilities...Just move and shake...who cares if you're doing the moves exactly!
Engage your DH and try it together...hahaha..
YOU MADE MY NIGHT!!!!
Oh...and I couldn't run 3 miles if you paid me hahahaha:laugh:0 -
Hi team I hope all is well with you and your families!
Butter1
Where did you get the Zumba video? I have looked every where and found it for $89. I do not want to pay that not knowing if it is something I can dowith my back. When I had a gym membership I was very intimidated but I went during the day so it was not busy. Just keep your chin up and go since you spent the money!
Stephanie
Is it hard to do more than one challenge at a time? I saw you are starting another challenge but not sure if I should push myself that much. I am new to the challenges, what do you think?
I was under calories but did not do much today due to my back, neck and head killing me.
Tomorrow is our rest day right?0 -

Is it hard to do more than one challenge at a time? I saw you are starting another challenge but not sure if I should push myself that much. I am new to the challenges, what do you think?
*Bunch Of Losers Challenge - Ends Today. This was my first challenge...I just wanted to get more involved and wanted the accountability to a teammate. (I was actually Teammates with Jen...the leader of the LTL challenge)
*Lot To Lose Challenge - Ends In September. This one is ending the day before my birthday next month...and I have a lot to lose...and my friend Jen was running it!
*The Challenge Of The Living Dead - Ends in October. I am actually not even a big zombie fan (didn't realize it was such a 'thing") but I joined it for the October goal and because it looked so unique (there's a story line). For example, our first challenge was to "Get out of the building we were trapped in"...we had to climb over 2000 steps in the week. Its now all based on percentages, so even it you don't make the goal for the week...you get credit for whatever you did do! I've been in that one for six weeks. Funny story though...both captains had to drop out. Myself and another girl stepped to to take over the challenge hahaha...so it was never my vision...but no one wanted to see the challenge end before planned.
*Christmas Countdown Challenge - Self explanatory hahaha. This has really turned out to be an awsome challenge. There are about 200 of us in there and we're just encouraging each other to get down to our goal weight by Christmas. (We're also putting $5 away each week so we'll be able to buy ourselves our own Christmas present for reachin our goal).
The support is great...The motivation is great...I choose carefully though....because you don't want it to be a burden for you either. All of my challenges 'weigh-in' on Sundays....(that was important to me because I didn't want to forget to post on a certain day and I pretty much only weigh once a week, etc). Our LTL started on a Friday...but we don't have to weigh-in. And this is the only challenge where I report my numbers daily...all others are based on weekly (so if I dont get to the gym one day, I can make it up another). I do prefer the weekly vs. daily.
I know that was long...but THANK YOU....because that helped to clarify my intentions again! Whoo hoo!
Now...I will be looking for another challenge soon...one that ends in November.0 -
And Speaking Of Reporting Daily....oops!
Saturday For Me:

1 Hour Of Zumba
Sunday...Yes Let's Call It Rest Day!0 -

http://www.amazon.com/Zumba-Fitness-Total-Transformation-System/dp/B002HZ4XMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313936859&sr=8-1
omg still though:noway: i'm going to try the instructions again today & see what happens. If it gets dh moving, then what the heck. thanks for the encouragement stephanie.:flowerforyou:
sun = rest day. I still did the jog/walk here though...i'm going to do that every day until my 2 pound gain is gone. the gym: .i'll try again on tuesday during the slow daytime & see how that goes too. I would like to check out the water aerobics class schedule at least. the hulk guy tried to talk me into spinning as well.0 -
Glad today was a rest day! hahahhaa:laugh:
Hope you ladies had a wonderful day!0 -

IMPORTANT MESSAGE
****************************
Ladies...not sure where Misty has been, but Jen (the leader of this challenge) has tried to reach out to her several times. She has not received any of our updates for a week. She is currently looking for another teammate for our team, assuming that Misty is no longer here....MISTY WHERE ARE YOU!??!!
Jen would like one of us to take over as Captain. (I just took on Captain of another challenge...and don't think I'd be able to report for both). Are any of you able to report for our team?0 -
50 skater squats and under carbs. No other exercise though.0
-
25 skater squats done- and doubt i was under carbs.. I am trying to get my eating back in the right direction. I feel like I am on a downhill slide.... UGH so frustrating. I just don't think I can commit to being the captain when I already feel bad for being a weak contributor already.
Sorry Ladies!0 -
:brokenheart: misty we miss ya.....
bmc- as stephanie said, we all have our days/problems/etc. No reasons to be sorry. i think the point of the group is to have a reason to try again.... , but certaintly no pressure:flowerforyou:
had to have a little medical touchup procedure done today.....no biggie, but no upper body work/movement for at least a week .
wed: under calories - & only via exercise calories
