Another pound down! I am in the 130s - at 139. I've been getting more exercise and have more energy, so am just generally more active - my house is neater and cleaner than it used to be!! I'm still struggling to get 10 glasses of water in each day, but making it some days and at least getting 8 on others.

I am having dinner guests tonight - old friends I haven't seen since I moved away. The wife is vegetarian, so dinner is easy - spaghetti squash (with chicken breasts on the side for anyone else), and salad, with homemade banana bread for "dessert". The banana bread is out of the oven and the spaghetti squash is in the fridge ready to go in the oven. When I was putting that together, it smelled soooo good.

Great job, Shauna! You really made some changes!! Seagazer, how was dinner at Jamie Oliver's place?

Now to finish school with my daughter and get the house picked back up and prettied! Have a great day, everyone!

I hope the dinner went well! Sounded delicious

    Yay Shauna, what great results

Dinner at Jamie Olivers - I am a glutton. I went Thursday evening and had

    VEGETABLE ANTIPASTI PLANK
    £6.85 A HEAD

Seasonal vegetables, sliced vegetables, chargrilled, marinated and chilled

Italian cheeses, buffalo mozzarella and pecorino with amazing chilli jam

Pickles, curly green chillies, green and Gaeta olives and aubergine caponata

Crunchy salad shaved root veg with chilli, lemon and mint

As a starter - it was divine, and the cheese was a tiny slither of pecorino - 10g at the most, the buffalo mozarella was about the size of a golf ball. So not too bad as far as fat.......of course then I wasn't hungry enough for the fish in a bag I had decided on, so I had

    MARINATED SARDINES
    £3.75
Pickled fillets of sardines with garlic, lemon, parsley and chilli to follow - delicious !!

Of course (understandably, I had to go back the next day for lunch, to have the

    FISH BAKED IN A BAG
    £15.95
West Country fish of the day with clams, mussels, fennel, chilli, anchovies and Sicilian cracked wheat - which was a palm sized piece of Coley .... all great. I did have the

    SWEET MINI CHILLI PEPPERS
    £4.45
Red chillies stuffed with tuna, capers and anchovies - which were so wonderful I tried to recreate it myself last night.....

I made sure that I did plenty of walking whilst I was there, and despite TOM I've managed to drop a bit of weight this week. The best NSV was going to a shop there, that I was last in in July, and buying a pair of jeans two sizes smaller, and they are roomy! Slow and steady, it is coming off, and I don't feel I am denying myself anything really - just more aware about what I am eating, and not mindless stuffing.

How is everyone doing today with their weigh-ins? After a 3 week plateau and a very bad September I'm down 2.6 lbs this week!

I am under 189 - but not quite to 188 yet ;) I am very happy to be in the 180's now!!!!
  • Those meals sound awesome!!!!

It is sad really, how much I enjoyed that food, and that I have to still talk about it nearly a week later .... yum yum yum. I can only recommend it to you!!

Don't be ridiculous! I think it is totally okay to be excited about food! As long as you're not splurging often, it is surely okay to get off track on occasion. We're only human, right?! I absolutely love food and wine and I get extremely excited about it and I don't think it's sad! I love watching cooking shows because I find the culinary arts so impressive and exciting! It has definitely turned me into a wanna-bee chef from an easy mac & spaghetti maker!

Ash - Great job hun! I'm sure during that plateau you were still losing inches! You are doing great and are sooo motivational!

Haven't had a chance to weigh in yet - but will be hitting the gym first thing tomorrow to step on the scale! (I don't have a scale at home for a couple reasons: I want accuracy and I don't think I would want to spend that much to ensure an accurate scale, I don't want to weigh myself every single day and the temptation is taken away if I only weigh in mornings at the gym)

Awesome weight loss this week! It does look like we lost quite a few, which is quite unfortunate! My weigh in for this week hasn't been updated because I was a bit late - I'm still here though! Hopefully they'll hop back on and get their weights in soon!

I attempted to do 30 Day shred last month.

Here are my results - not too shabby considering I started off strong, did everyday for 2 weeks then started skipping days here and there. I do try really hard to do some exercise everyday though so if it wasn't shred it was walking, swimming, etc.

    I have lost:
    5 lbs.
.5 inch on my right arm
0 inches off hips (I have lost 7 inches off my hips since March - so they don't just melt off anymore)
    1 inch under my boobs
    2 inches off bust (sigh)
    1 inch off waist (yay)
    .5 off my right thigh

So there you go - moving does a body good  !

I'm getting ready to start the 30 Day Shred next week. Hope I have some good results. Am also going to be faithfully tracking my calories too and make sure that I don't go over like i have been past couple of weeks.

If anyone wants to start the 30 Day Shred, I have another post started today on it. We have just 6 1/2 weeks left on our Thanksgiving Challenge, so if you've not see the results you were hoping for by now (like the shape i'm in), then let's ramp it up a bit and change up our routines a bit. Add a new challenge for the next month and a half!!

Oh, mine will not be pretty either. I'm now on Day 2 of 30DS, but that's not going to make up for the weigh-in and measurements on Wednesday. *sigh*

Weigh-in and measurements tomorrow ladies!! Don't forget!
Let's push it and make these last 5 weeks really count!
  • What is it about Tuesdays that makes me forget to drink the water?

What is it about Tuesdays that makes me reach for biscuits before realising that Wednesday is weigh in day?

Luckily I realised as I was about to go for the chocolate! I seem to lose on Sundays, and then again Thursday... but Wednesday? Never!!

Still the inches haven't let me down.

And the new jeans I bought two weeks ago, are already comfortably loose , so it is not all doom and gloom.

I got 4 big bags of fruit and veg Monday night for £15, all reduced, so have had a massive soup making session - perfect for the autumn chill that is tingeing the air.

I hope you all see the progress you want this morning

Great to hear about your jeans! That's a great feeling. I haven't noticed as much, but one pair of jeans I am now starting to have to pull up when I wear them. They seem a tad bit looser on my hips.

Not a great 4 weeks for me. Just 3.2 lbs and 2.25" down. I need to refocus on the water and exercise. I just keep telling myself "slow and steady" http://www.fitharts.com/2011/10/11/honey-were-killing-the-kid/

I hope everyone is doing great!

Weight - 139, same as last week.

Funny, I have never measured my calves! They have never bothered me, but I'm guessing that if anything, they have grown a bit, rather than losing. I only lost one half inch total in the last 4 weeks - in my chest. Weird. I think I'd better get back to hula hooping every day. I have been able to walk a lot, and am eating pretty good, so I'll just keep on keeping on. I went to a resale shop and got 2 pair of jeans that are a bit tight, but fit soooo much better than the old ones  and I am waiting for the day when they are a bit too loose! By Thanksgiving they should not be at all tight anymore, anyway.

I'm helping jrnygirl out since she has been feeling sick. I updated your stats Shauna. You had a great loss this month in inches!

I saw a lot of good changes in measurements this past month from a lot of you. WTG everyone!!!

If the spreadsheet isn't updated with your stats let us know or send me or jrnygirl a message.
