    i lost .4 i am still up l4 from last week. woke up to a flat tire this morning. son and DH are out there at 5:25 fixing it. now i will hit commute traffic, yucky. we walked back in and DH is sitting here eating donunts. he got them on his way home. he was snicking, bad, very bad.....
    off to fight traffic.

    Hi ladies!! I am down another lb. from Friday. I don't remember what I was on Tuesday, I would have to check the other thread to be sure what I was down for the week as a whole. I know it was quite a bit for me, but I'm thinking a lot of it is stress. which is interesting because typically during finals week I get stressed and just eat, eat, eat!!! and I'm so happy I haven't done that this year. :bigsmile:

    Goals for this week:
    1. Lose 1 pound by next Tuesday's weigh in.
    2. Bump up my cardio routine by pace and amount.
    3. NO peeking at the scale between weigh ins.(I've been bad about this!)
    4. Stay within calorie range EVERY day this week!

    So...last week went well for me! I am VERY excited about this! Although only 1 pound down since starting, since tis the season of yummy treats, I'm happy with that small loss!

    Today should be fine. I have my meal planned but no time to post at the moment. SO...I will BBL with that info!

    Good morning ladies!! Great job on the losses!! And who gained, dont stress the samll gains - could be water weight or stress!

    So I am up from Fridays weigh in (178.4) but I didnt record that one. I am down from last Tuesdays weigh in by 0.8lbs. CW: 179.8

    I must be about to start TOM bc since Friday I have been inhaling food I feel like!! Yesterday evening was like that too!! BLAH!! I did get 30 min on the treadmill yesterday- 20 straight minutes of jogging!! :bigsmile:

    I have 2 more finals to take and an exit exam.. So I will be studying and all that. I hope you ladies have a great week :)

    Well I am up over 200 again 200.8, but it's really not as bad as I expected. I feel like I need another day to recoup. Just feeling tired. I need to go back to find week 2 weight since this week is really a gain, but overall progress is a small loss.

    Workout plan--45 minute Step class, 15 minute Ab workout, and if I get there early enough, I will jump on the elliptical for a while before Step.

    Here's the recipe for dinner this evening:

    Creamy Chicken Italiano

    6 (4 oz. Each) Boneless Skinless Chicken-Breast Halves
    1 (.7 oz.) Packet Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
    1/4 Cup Water
    1 (8 oz.) Package Fat Free Cream Cheese, softened
    1 (10 oz.) Can 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup

    Place chicken in crockpot. Combine salad dressing mix and water. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. Combine cheese, and soup until blended. Pour over chicken. Cover; Cook on low 1 hour, or until chicken juices run clear. Serve over noodles or rice. (Optional for additional points).

    Serves: 6
    Per Serving: 204 Calories; 4g Fat (19.1% calories from fat); 32g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 76mg Cholesterol; 895mg Sodium. Exchanges: 3 1/2 Lean Meat.

    kistin have you seen the sodium on those soups?:noway: i got a case at sams and was stocked i could eat a whole can for little cals, the sodium is over 1600. be careful, don't want you to bloat.....
    OOOPPPPSSSS...sorry it's the progresso light that is over 1600 the campbells is only 960 for the can. again sorry...

    Good morning ladies!

    Congrats to those with losses and the gains have been small and will fall away, right??? :wink:
    Well I had the worst 36 hours... Absolutely HORRIBLE flu. It just happened to correspond with eating the bad food at the party but I was literally getting sick every 15 to 20 minutes and couldn't even keep WATER down. In fact Kyle had to go to the store at 3am to get some gravol so that I could keep some water in me for at least a few minutes and maybe absorb a LITTLE of it. He didn't go in to work yesterday because the kids had it too and we were a mess. I managed to finally eat a teensy bowl of rice krispies last night and that was it but this morning I'm feeling like I could eat a little again and I can tell I'm past the main part.     week 1: 174 lbs
    week 2: 172.2 lbs
    week 3: 168.4 lbs ...3.8 lb loss (0.6 lb loss since Friday) :bigsmile:

    No meal plan yet for today. I had another bowl of rice krispies for breakfast and I'm hoping to be able to have something nutritionally substantial later on. I'm sure I'll be back soon. Lazy day around here!

    Creamy Chicken Italiano

    6 (4 oz. Each) Boneless Skinless Chicken-Breast Halves
    1 (.7 oz.) Packet Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
    1/4 Cup Water
    1 (8 oz.) Package Fat Free Cream Cheese, softened
    1 (10 oz.) Can 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup

    Place chicken in crockpot. Combine salad dressing mix and water. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. Combine cheese, and soup until blended. Pour over chicken. Cover; Cook on low 1 hour, or until chicken juices run clear. Serve over noodles or rice. (Optional for additional points).

    Serves: 6
    Per Serving: 204 Calories; 4g Fat (19.1% calories from fat); 32g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 76mg Cholesterol; 895mg Sodium. Exchanges: 3 1/2 Lean Meat.

    OMG OMG OMG!!! I have returned to the "normal" range on the BMI chart!!!! WOW!!!! I'm so excited! Gosh, I remember a while ago making a post titled something like "yay! I'm "overweight"! because I went from the 'obese' to 'overweight' designation but back into NORMAL?? YEAH!!!!!!!!!! :bigsmile: :glasses: And the thing is, I know that the BMI calculator has limitations since it can't take into account things like muscle mass, bone density and frame. I've always had a muscular build and I've always had Drs tell me that BMI over-estimates my place on the chart because of my muscles so being back in the normal range just based on weight means it's really true. THAT is a nice way to start a day :bigsmile:

    Rhiannon - feel better!! And I know how you feel on the BMI thing. I was just a little above the normal line when I started and I just noticed after you said that that I was back into the normal range! Doesn't it feel good? Rest up my dear!!

    I have been in such a mood today, I haven't felt like doing anything. I blew off they gym, ate a giant piece of cake for lunch, followed by pizza an hour ago. Good thing I weigh first thing in the morning. Otherwise, I'd probably go for the ice cream in the freezer.... Right now, I'm saving that for dinner, ha ha.

  • :happy: Hello my fellow sixers. I have been kind of just lurking around here lately. I am having a hard time and not wanting to share that with everyone. I am a week away from turning 35. I really wanted to make alot more progress by my birthday than this. I had started this journey back in March 2008 and it was my goal to have lost the weight and to reward myself for my birthday. Instead I am getting workout clothes for my birthday so that I can find some motivation to get my butt going! So I have 9 months to loose 55/60 pounds. 37 weeks. 1.62 pounds per week. Yikes. :sad:

    I am not weighing in today. I will weigh in on friday. I slept maybe 2 hours last night so I am sure my body is storing all the food I have ate.

    Great job everyone on the losses. Fantastic!

    amy i feel your pain....i have been struggling for the last few weeks too. i eat and gain these 3#s. than lose them, and gain them back. i have been just playing with them. now again they are coming off. well, today DH and i were talking and he said maybe i am affraid to go below 210/200. which i could. i don't think i am but, never know. so now that it is in the front of my mind, i am trying to get past those two weights and see what happens. i haven't been below 200 in over 27 yrs. i too hadn't said anything about it, i too have been just lurking, poking in every once in awhile.
    well, time to get things ready for gym tomorrow, been working on the eliptical lately. wanting to get away from the treadmill for the gym workout. i am up to 20 mins now. i am doing the c25k at home three days a week and the gym 3 days a week.

    Cathy, You WILL make it to under 200. Everyone struggles now and then. It could be your body readjusting to the lower weight and different metabolism. You should focus on all that is positive that you have done.:flowerforyou:

Thank you! I have my dinner out for tomorrow... thought I would share the recipe! I don't do so good with the food. I am a snacker - I don't like full blown meals.. so this week it is my goal to eat right...

    Salsa Chicken
    Number of Servings: 6

    Ingredients:
    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1 cup salsa
    1 package reduced sodium taco seasoning
    1 can reduced fat cream of mushroom soup (condensed)
    1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream

    Directions:
    Add chicken to slow cooker.
    Sprinkle taco seasoning over chicken.
    Pour salsa and soup over chicken.
    Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
    Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
    Serve with rice.

    Ladies I have a question. The last few days I just haven't had much of an appetite (i think it's because of the stress from papers and finals) and I've been having trouble making my 1200 calories. I know I've been trying so hard to add extra cals but I'm just not hungry so its hard to do. Any ideas as to how i can figure this out? Like I said, it's because I'm stressed so in less than a week it will be better.

    It's weird, I don't remember the last time I didn't want to eat constantly during finals week. haha. I guess I'm just worried, even though I'm not hungry, that not making the 1200 cals will force my body into survival mode.

    Try adding higher fat healthy choices along with some high fiber choices. They will have the caloric values. Try a hand full of almonds or add avacado to your salad. Then you can meet 1200 cals without eating when you are not hungry.

    I hope finals are going well for you!
