Some of the exercise challenges are looking interesting... I love, love, LOVE the Dancing one! I think it's fabulous to have things in each week that add some "fun" to the process - that it isn't all about "work" but that we are having "fun" in the process!
I'm gonna throw some things out here... because I am not real sure what anyone was necessarily looking for in joining the LTL challenge, etc. BUT... I love MFP! I found so much more value to it when I started using the boards and found one "board" or "group" that is becoming a small family! It's just been nice to visit with and support, laugh, cry with others who truly understand what I am going through. I have LOTS to lose... I am currently at 85 pounds released and will need to at least do another 85! (really, much more than that, but in steps here, steps! ) People around me in "real" (i.e. physically/geographically) life may be trying to lose 10 or 15 pounds... but I am looking to release hundreds. So, finding people that really "get" it has been so great!
So... why did you join this group/challenge? I wanted to be a part of the Lots to Lose Challenge because I wanted to be a part of a longer challenge, I liked that it was designed by and for people who are aiming for the higher numbers, and I needed something to push me to try some different things. I love that I am learning exercises through the exercise challenge. I love that there is a "forced" rest day (so to speak). I was also hopeful to find another "team" of support - to exchange thoughts, ideas, positives, negatives, etc. I am not really sure if that is what this will be... because perhaps the rest of you just wanted the "challenge" part of it. I am OK either way... but just thought I'd check in with all of you to see what your thoughts were and why you joined this challenge! If nothing else, it's a good way to get to know each other...
Just a couple quick facts about me... My name is Becky. I am a competitive person and a bit of a perfectionist (well, in many ways - I guess not too much of one if I started this at such a high weight). If I am given "tasks" to do... I really make every effort to get it done. I am a social worker by profession... and have a huge, supportive heart. I am excited to get to know each of you more! Let's rock it out in Week Four Pink Panthers!0 -

Nothin' for today... it was a sad, bad day! But there are only 46 minutes left of it... so, it's looking up...0
-
Good luck today everyone! Remember tomorrow (monday) is our rest day, so only our water counts. Everyone needs to drink at least 10 glasses of water and meet our nutrition goal so we can get our max points of 525!!!0
-
I am going out of town this week. I should have plenty of time to exercise, but will be eating out three meals a day so the nutrition goals might be harder to reach. I also wont have MFP access except at the hotel, so I will try to check in but it may not be regularly.0

Hey Pink Panthers! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to get a lot of exercise in this weekend so I am feeling pretty great.
Today I met the nutrition challenge, the exercise challenge and did an extra hour of cardio!0 -

Enjoy your week away. Sending you wilpower vibes to help with food choices over the next week. I know that will be tough to be away from home that long. Thanks for trying to check in at the hotel when you can. Try and have fun also.0 -

Thanks lombrica for sharing with us about yourself. I was having an emotional weekend and just a plain blaaaa weekend and didn't get to answering your post. Feeling like I needed a kick in the butt so trying to start today off with some MFP posting (always picks me up).
I love MFP and joined almost a year ago. I found a group right away and found is so motivating to know that there were so many people out there that wanted to lose more than 100 pounds and had all the problems and feelings that I had and many were losing weight. It gave me the courage to open up (for the first time) and really tell people how much I truely weighted. Still in real life no one knows my number except my Dr. The group grew and I felt overwhelmed with the number of people and felt like I couldn't support everyone so I joined a smaller one and still post daily (well most of the time  )in that one and love the feel and friendship you get from a smaller group.
I saw this lotstolose challenge and I thought it sounded like fun and what a great way to meet new people and hopefully start some new friendships and get some motivation to do some exercise. Our group started off rocky and I found it hard to get to know members ( not much posting or supporting going on the thread) so I sort of became more quiet...But now with the newest members I feel like I can enjoy this challenge and give/et support and get to know all of you better. Goooooo Pink Panthers.
I have been currently stuck on just maintaining and I really want to get out of this round and round sort of way of losing weight. Gain a few pounds one week lose it the next week. I just need to find my mojo and keep it going.0 -

I joined this group because i wanted to join a group with others that had alot to lose, get to know some new people and I really liked the idea of the daily exercise challenge to push me and get to know some new exercises. Alot of the time I do the some old ones. I love mondays dance for 10 min challenge, a fun way to get in some extra exercise.
I am a sahm of 7, only 3 still at home. I homeschooled for 10 yrs, did fostercare for 7 yrs , adopted the younger 3 from the fostercare system. They each have different issues because of what they went through early in life. So as you can see I was taking care of everyone else and comfort eating but not taking care of myself. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and hypothyroid and gained ALOT of weight about 120 lbs due to meds, not exercising and comfort eating. I decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired So I joined MFP last july and have lost 78 lbs since. I love MFP I know i would not have lost the weight on my own , I love the encouragement and support I have found and also the wonderful people0 -
YEAH its monday and the kids started school today. Hopefully I will get back into my routine and back to the gym, didnt happen today due to tom and cramping but i did take the dogs for a walk and danced for 10 mins. Hope everyone has a happy, healthy, active day.........

Greetings from Canada! I don't think I am going to be able to track very effectively this week because I can't use the app on my phone, and well I am on "vacation" or as close to one as I am going to get this summer. I don't want to obsess about it. I was able to drink 14 glasses of water today to help with the team total. I have my list of challenges, so exercise won't be an issue. Take care.

I drank 10 glasses of water today, I hope I dont float away. I did the dancing, I know it doesnt count for points but i hope it counts for something. And I am under sodium.........WE CAN DO IT0

Not really sure if this challenge/group will be for me... I will have to email tomorrow to let the captain (sorry, I don't even know your real name) what I have for points. I just was really looking for a more active and supportive group. IF that is what this will become, than I am happy to stick it out. But if this is a group that is just 5 individuals teamed together but still just doing it as individual challenges... than it's not what I was seeing/hoping for in seeing other group postings. I love the idea of it and you all seem wonderful, from what I can tell... but for me - I know that what I need is to really feel connected and knowledgable about my "team."
Sorry - I am sure that this may come off other than intended... I am happy to see a few more postings, but I just want to ensure that I am up front about what I had expected. I know that this team has been through at least a few members - and maybe that was why it is a bit of a quieter/private group?!? I don't intend to offend!
I have done stuff - but my schedule has been crazy. Forgot that it was our "rest" and water day... so not much water on my end.0 -

We are working together towards a common goal. All of our points that we get are added in together for our team. Obviously we are doing it ourselves, but also together. If you have to leave, I understand. Good luck to you!!0 -
I just wanted to say I am soooooooo proud of my Panthers!!!!!!!!! We got our max points of 525 today!!! You girls have been really sticking it out and I really appreciate all of you. A few of us have had some hard days here lately, but we are getting thru. We each know what we need to do. It's ok to have those off days every now and then. We all do, but we are here for eachother. If a couple of us need to do a little extra because someone else is having a hard time, we can do that. That's what we are here for You girls have been great and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish!!!!! :flowerforyou: :bigsmile:0

Ok, I got in the exercise challenge and an additional hour of cardio. I'll get back on the nutrition challenges when I am back home and can track effectively. Have a great day Panthers.0

Great job sheri getting those 10 glasses of water in. AND doing the exercise dancing challenge even though you didn't have to do it. :blushing: I also put on a few songs and moved my butt...it was fun...hope Jen puts it in next week on a different day and we can earm FUN points by way of dancing. . Every bit helps on our journey to lose weight.0 -

I hope you decide to stay on the Pink Panthers group and give it a go Becky. We finally have 5 members and each one of us seems to be contributing to the team. YA!!!!! Which is a huge change to what we were use to with 2 or 3 members posting and doing the challenges.0 -
goodnight girls...it's another day tomorrow and another challenge sweet dreams panthers   :yawn:0
-
Goodnight...it was a great day for me and hopefully y'all.
Under carbs - check

100 minutes walking/cardio - check
If you did today's exercie how did you find it? Hard ? Easy ? I thought it wasn't too difficult but I used a chair for balance.0 -
Sent the point updates to Soonergirl...
So, I guess I need to apologize, I didn't mean to offend anyone! I just was asking some questions about what everyone else wanted the group to be, because I wanted to make sure I was gonna be a good "fit" with the group. I thought that I was asking but if it felt otherwise, than I apologize.
I just want to be a part of a strong group... so, I am hopeful that we all can still be?? If I offended, I apologize.
