  • I love each one of you. Some of that stuff was really quite funny, too- there's careers in the military for a couple of you (right, Brett?)

Thanks for indulging me, and not a single incorrect word spoken on the entire thread. A year isn't that long. A lifetime isn't that long when you stop and think about it, particularly if like me you're about halfway done :)

It seems like a long journey. But in 1 year from now where do you want to be? Where you are now or at your goal? Its up to you!

I persisted for over 4 years to loose 76 lbs and reach my goal weight with Weight Watchers, and I did it in my early 60's. If I can do it, it should be a little easier for you. The year is going to go by for you whether or not you are loosing weight. It will be better for you if you are loosing rather than staying the same or gaining. Those are your 3 choices of how to be spending your year! I say pick loosing and you will feel better for it. GOOD LUCK!!! I wish you well.

A couple of helpers along the way - for every pound you lose put a £ or $ in a jar - you're going to need that money for your goal weight celebration shopping to get that outfit you want.

Take a photo every Month on the 1st of the month - you'll be able to look back and see the weight melting off you over time which will help to keep you going in the tough times. And you can remind yourself that you'll never go back!

Then get ready to compose your success forum post with you before and after pics and celebrate with all of us.

Buddy up with someone either on here or a friend or family member and support each other. It's working really well for me.

Good luck honey - be strong - you CAN do it!
