opinions on pregnancy and nutrition/an excuse to get fat?

I'm not obsessive about it I merely brought it up 1 time as to the fact she a while back asked me for help,she got on my case and I left it at that! But she is 5'4" and pregnant,she is pushing close to 300 pounds so I give up,its up to her to make the right decision no matter how hard it is,she justifies all her bad habits any way,like smoking,smoking around her kids,and feeding her kids rubbish her husband is also gaining not just sympathy weight but plain out excessive fat, I feel for their family but they are my in-laws so I don't care to help if all they are going to do is birch at me.0
