I lIke to bake my bacon instead of pan frying. It keeps it out of the drippings and the strips don't curl up.

I put a cooling rack inside a cookie sheet with an edge. Put the bacon in a cold oven. Turn the oven on to 375 and bake until it's as crispy as you like.

Microwaving it between paper towels works for me. No fuss, no muss.

I feel many of you totally missed my point. I know that a couople of slices of bacon alone are not that high in kcal but thats not what I meant. As a source of protein bacon is by far one of the most high in kcal, wether you eat one slices or five.
Just beacuse you eat two slices and thats equal to 50 kcal, doesent change the fact that 100 g of bacon is 475 kcal. Compare that with chicken that is 100 kcal / 100 g, egg thats 135 kcal / 100 g or salmon thats 125 kcal / 100g.
