Thank you myfitnesspal.com for all your support. I met my goal to be in the best shape of my life for my 50th birthday!! I now get asked out by LOTS of very handsome men of all ages, including 20s, 30s, 40s as well as my age. Ha, ha! I can not believe how good I look due to eating better and exercise, exercise, exercise! Thank you all for helping me meet my goals!! When I started out, it really helped motivate me to read about other people's successes. So, now I am contributing too!! Wow!! I can not believe I have a better body than I did at a teenager--at age 50!! Thanks y'all1 -

5'5" height
224 weight
37.5 bmi
Pants size 16
Shirts extra large- 2 x, but I like my tops loose so it all depends on style of the shirt, and I have DDDs so that is also a factor in shirt size.0 -
5'10" Height
193 Weight
27.7 bmi
Pant size 12-14 depending on the pant type, I have a large build and big hips and all my weight goes to my legs and butt so yeah if anyone else has problematic areas in the leg areas but you have a small waist, maxi dresses usually look REALLY good! They take the focus off your lower body.
shirt sizes are usually medium. always varies.0 -

I'm 5'3", bmi is at 25 (overweight) and I'm a size 6 pants and medium tops. I think sizes really vary based more upon your body type than weight / bmi.0

I'm 5'8'', 170lbs
According to online calculators, my BF is 28%
My shape is hourglass.
I wear Medium shirts normally, and currently size 10 pants.
Similar to OP, I could still fit into the same size clothes when I was 30lbs lighter. Even though I looked obviously thinner and healthier, my same clothes (for the most part) fit.
I think it has to do with your bone structure- your skeletal frame won't shrink with weight loss!
According to the wrist test, I have a small frame. If you are unfamiliar, it says that you can measure your frame size by wrapping your thumb and middle finger around your wrist, just below the wrist bone, to get your frame size. If your thumb and middle finger do not touch, you are large. If they touch, medium. If your thumb overlaps your finger, small frame size. My thumb can fully cover the nail of my middle finger. Who knows, I may just have extra long appendages and small wrists!
I think I wear size M tops because my shoulders are pretty broad, and I have a large bust. My hips are the same as my shoulders, hence the hourglass shape and hence the size 10 fitting now, or 30lbs lighter! Again, my hip bones won't shrink, so I doubt my pant size will (at least not much) either. That's just how it is.
So, the way clothes fit depends on frame size and body shape.0 -
My BMI is 25 (barely in the normal category). I'm 5'2" and 136 pounds, and I wear a size 6.0
