    Morning ladies.

MM-best of luck at the docs office. (hugs)

    Supermom-hope the formula switch helps

    Loki-your lil man is adorable.

Well we got all 12 popcorn wreaths done last night and my son and I will deliver them to the neighbors today. Hubby's brother and his wife and three kids are coming today from CA. This will be the first time I've met them, should be interesting. They will be here for a week.
Is it wrong that I don't have Christmas cards sent yet but I'm still planning to mail them? I wouldn't even worry about them but I want to get pictures sent out to family and friends. Do they make New Years Cards...maybe I should just send those :grumble:
DD went to bed way early last night and then woke up hungry at 1:30 this morning, luckily she was only up for about an hour (hubby put her to bed after I fed her  ) and then went back to bed until 6:30. Now she's napping so I should be exercising....guess I should get to that :grumble:

    Have a wonderful day.

snapfish.com has new year's card, Lyn! I think Walgreens might carry them as well. I'd go for that. I just found a pile that I have addressed & stamped but somehow didn't make it into the mail. Oh, well. Good luck with the meeting of the brother! And for a week?! I really hope you like all of them! That'd drive me nutty!

I was complaining to by little boy that the weather was too cold to go walk, until I come here to see how truly cold ya'll are. I guess my 45 degrees with a 35 degree wind chill is nothing. Oh how I love living in the south. I couldn't function in snow.

And MM know you are on my heart this morning. It is 9:30 here in LA. Hope everything goes well.

Walk for me! It is 18 degrees here (I don't want to know what the wind chill is other than C-O-L-D!). But it is warmer than the past 2 days! LOL

    Good Morning everyone :)

MM Its 9:38, I hope all is well with your sonogram:flowerforyou: You're in my prayers for comfort and strength

To all the new members, WELCOME!!!! This is a great board to be a part of, lots of support and encouragement.

ok so Ayden is doing better, we switched his formula from Similac Early Shield to Nestle Good Start and it seems to have helped with the gas. Also Ive cut out all dark leafy greens and broccoli, which sucks cuz I only like salad with Romaine Lettuce and I LOVE broccoli, but whatever helps my baby feel better its worth it.

ugh yesterday I went over on cals for sure. I baked cookies for DHs work, n had to sample, then my mom baked an apple pie and I had to have a warm slice of it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, ugh not a good day but today will be better! ok gtg Aydens gettin fussy

I bet the elimination of broccoli alone will do it! My kids were sensitive to milk products, too. Don't worry about the food. It's going to be tough the next couple days & if we beat ourselves up about it, it'll just be worse.

Good morning one and all. Busy day on this end. Yesterday, my third grader had a class party and then another party we attended last night (and we don't even celebrate the holidays and we party). Didn't do too bad on the eating. Nibbled here and there. Just a taste. My first grader has a field trip today to the Aquarium. Been working since 3 a.m., but didn't get to bed until 11 p.m., so I'm a little exhausted. When kids go over to ex's tonight, may end up crashing.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

MM - I hope you are okay. Thinking about you all morning. Wishing the absolute best for you and your family through this unbelievably hard time.

Good thoughts to all. Enjoy your day.

YUCK! I hope you get some rest today! Have fun with the field trips!

Sara-- you're a dear as always to get this weekly lovefest going--

welcome to all the new moms-- I am the phantom, Marla-- on court ordered slowdown from my posting from the hubster-- thank God-- it's so much fun here, but not much else got done during the day--

Must get to work-- love to all-- must resume the baking (curse you, Loree-- it's all your fault)

A balmy 14 degrees here in New Jersey-- come on spring. Brrrrrrrrr.

God bless us all this day, my friends-- !!!!!!!

ZERO degrees here with a -22 windchill, Marla. You sound like you're in the tropics right now! LOL Have fun baking! LOL @ lovefest, too. You crack me up. it sounds like I'm the creator of Woodstock or something. HA!

Roni - Ouch! I didn't realize you were having another surgery! I hope you heal quickly & that you aren't in too much pain by Christmas. Do NOT pop a stitch, girl! That would be messy. :noway: You lost MORE weight this week, didn't you?! You go, girl!!! I am so proud of how well you're doing! At this rate, you're going to hit 50# pretty darn quick!

MM - I'm sorry you are having Scrooge issues this year. I know the feeling, but for different reasons. Just try to keep in mind that next year you'll have a cute little bambino to dress up & love on. By my calculations, you're due right around Zeke's b.day. Good time of year for babies.

I REALLY need to go be productive. We had such an exhausting weekend that I really just want to veg out today but with Christmas looming, that will not be happening! ACK!

Yep 3BB...another surgery this past Saturday. I think I only have 2 more to go though:smile: Then hopefully it will ALL be over again! But honestly, Im just happy that she hasnt need to put me back on chemo again...THAT was miserable! Im doing fine today. A little sore, but none of the pain that I had with the first one.
And YES! I DID lose more weight this week:drinker: 4 more pounds gone!!:drinker: Dnt know how well its going to go over the holidays now...gotta make it though to the first of the year without gaining anything, thats my goal. I dont mind sooo much if I dont LOSE, just dont want to gain. I have xmas, new years and then my birthday (Which is new years eve)...so its gonna be tough:grumble: Thank you my dear for noticing:flowerforyou:
Ok, Im off to the main board now...gotta post an update on my 13 yr old...we had his follow up appt at the Dr yesterday and I cant wait to let everyone know how hes doing:heart:

MM - I hope you don't mind, but I posted on the "proud" thread yesterday about you b/c a lot of those women are the "praying" type. They're also quite thrilled to hear the wonderful news. :flowerforyou: The bedrest is going to be tough, but you can do it! It is all worth it!

Roni - YAY for no more chemo! Let's keep it that way! I can't wait to read about your son. You must be SO proud of him...the one that's nuts enough to go to the Bears game...not so much.

I was a mess all morning. I didn't want to eat, my stomach was torn up, much like my emotions. I was expecting the worst when we went into the sonogram room. I was prepared for it. I was not prepared to see the baby's heart beating!!!! It's okay! It's growing and looks good! The tech is really nice and she spent a lot of time looking around the uterus looking for reasons why I am bleeding so much but she said everything looks good. Praise the Lord! I just can't even express my joy and relief!
I am sorry for scaring people and making you worry. I really thought last night was it. I am on stricter bed rest than I have been. My inlaws are coming here again tomorrow to help take care of us and to celebrate Christmas with us. It seems so stupid now to have been so upset about spending Christmas with my family. Nothing is more important than carrying this baby to full term! I am just so relieved! Thank you for your prayers! They are making a difference! :smooched:

That's fine 3BB. I am taking all the prayers I can get! Everyone here has been ecstatic too. I think my mom was in shock but she was very relieved and happy. I think after last night's scare we are all kind of in shock. lol I think my mom was about to cry when she found out that we won't be coming tomorrow after all. For some reason my family doesn't get what bed rest means.
Oh well, need to get lunch and rest.
    MM
  • Ok WOW so much activity since I've been on lol

MM-YAY:heart: Thats great news!!!! I'll still be praying for you and the little one, rest and enjoy the holidays!!! Im so Happy for you!!!

Loki- The pics are SO cute!!

drevansmom-Thanks, I hope the formula switch helps too! Its seems to be so far hes not as gassy but he seems like he really needs to poo and cant, I'm not sure if it was the formula switch or what, I may end up calling the dr. I didnt even get a chance to get Christmas pics done to put in the cards I sent out lol so I may be sending out New Years Cards as well

3BB- I know he isnt sensitive to milk or dairy because one I barely have any in my diet lol(dont worry I take calcium supplements n actually I'm tracking my calcium intake with MFP to try to get more in) and he rarely spits up formula, but Im hoping the stuff Ive eliminated has helped and switching the formulas:happy:

Noni- Im glad the surgery went well and congrats on losing 4lbs!!! :flowerforyou: and I have to say your son is CA-RAZY for going out in that weather, I think its cold at a mere 40 degrees here in Houston to have a windchill of almost negative 40 blows my mind lol

Dana-YAY for going down in shirt size!!:drinker: I think thats one of the best feelings ever huh? buying new clothes in smaller sizes, keep it up I'm sure you'll break through your plateau soon:bigsmile:
  • oh oops I forgot to share my good news! I weighed myself again today and I've lost another pound!!! I really wish I would lose more than just a pound a week but I guess with almost no exercise and a few slip ups with food that its not bad.:ohwell:

I have such an urge to run, but I've never liked running before but sometimes now when I'm stressed I just see my self running, weird huh? But I'm not supposed to do any difficult workouts until my 6 week postpartum check up, ugh which I havent even gotten around to scheduling, I need to do that today because this Friday will be 6 weeks since Ayden was born!!! wow it seems like its gone so fast:noway: Do you think itd be wrong if I worked out anyway even before I see my dr??? I'm afraid I wont be able to get in til next week and I dont want to wait anymore!!! lol I'm not bleeding anymore and I'm feeling good, just tired from lack of sleep

oh and in other good news I ordered new custom running shoes from my favorite website www.nikeid.com you can custom design shoes and they dont cost more than a normal pair except you pay shipping but thats not too bad. I'll post pics when they come in the mail sometime in January, I'm so excited!!!

ok well Ayden just fell asleep, so I'm going to try and get some lunch before he wakes up Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Supermom-honestly I would wait until your doc appt. The most I did before my 6 wk was walk. And depending on how much I walked or how quickly sometimes I would spot. You can wait just a little longer. And if you can visualize yourself running then girl as soon as you get the okay start running. I've always wondered what people find so appealing about running. Never something I've visualized myself doing  so more power to ya! And congrats on your weight loss!

MM---YEA!!!!!!!!! So happy for you. So excited that the baby is holding strong. It must be a girl...cuz I guy would have given up by now  Whatever it is, its a miracle. Take your bed rest seriously and hire a nanny or something if need be. Just make it through this hard time...soon you have something great to celebrate!

Dana-Congrats on your accomplishment 100 lbs is a whole person. That's inspiring!

Roni-I wouldn't go sit in that kinda weather to watch my fav team let alone the Bears  Children do the craziest things.

Sara-I'm not really concerned about meeting the brother and family, I'm more concerned about how many things they are gonna wanna do that cost money. They are pretty well off and well....we are pretty broke. Plus I have my daily routine and so does the baby and I don't wanna throw it off too far just to appease them. Oh well...

Going to try to get some gifts wrapped as soon as DD goes down for a nap and I can stuff my DS in his room for at least an hour. Really don't want to wrap Christmas Eve. I think the Christmas preparations have worn me out. I'm draggin butt today. Got my workout in. Had to...I have ONE POUND to lose by Christmas to hit my mini goal. I'm really trying to be good and I have been for the most part. Keep your fingers crossed for me that when I get on the scale Christmas morning it reads 188!!!

need to do a marathon typing tonight so I can get out shopping tomorrow-- please pray for me, friends-- extra work came in that I can't turn down, and hubby's not home until tonight-- I'm exhausted and wanted to take the kids shopping tonight-- now it'll have to wait. Please pray for me that my fingers can fly, my interruptions will be few (barring the ones to and from basketball practices, and running my kid to and from work-- sighhh) and more importantly that I can stay awake.

I want to cry, I'm so tired-- I'm outta here for today-- see you all tomorrow--

Marla I hope you stay awake so you can get your work done.

Well, this afternoon is worse than yesterday. I am cramping and bleeding more, though not enough to fill a pad fast. It's like I am having a period. I can tell my midwife is concerned. She was going to try to get me in to a doctor but I guess they don't have time due to the holidays. I'm not really sure they could do anything anyway. She said they could only monitor the bleeding. My cramps are more like constant pain, not contraction like. So I am telling myself that my body is screwed up and is thinking it's time for a period. It makes me feel better. It is that time really. Last one was in October on the 17th, so besides skipping a month it would be on time. Maybe if my body will just have a period then the bleeding will go away! If I had not seen my perfect baby this morning and seen its heart beating I would be a mess right now. I keep telling myself that the baby could not have died between then and now and I am miscarrying. I don't think the body works that fast. They said the cervix is closed and everything looks fine. So I am hanging on to that. But what in the world is going on!!! UGH! DH says he can come home as soon as Alex is awake. I am hoping he will sleep until 5. Ha ha. He didn't have a B vitamin today so maybe he'll sleep longer. Maybe not. I think I hear him. Shhhh! Okay nevermind. He's still sleeping. I'm going to take some Tylenol. Talk to you all later.

Just talked to the midwife. She said it sounds like I am miscarrying. Unbelievable. I'm really getting tired of this. I can't keep going up and down. It's too much. The in laws are here. They can help with Alex. I'm very very frustrated.

MM - Take the bed rest thing very seriously, although it is difficult with a little one. And take care of yourself. We are thinking about you often and praying and hoping that everything works out safely for you. Soak in the love and keep us posted.
  • MM: I don't post on here ever, but thought I'd check it out and was reading about your u/s and bleeding. Have they talked at all about a a subchorionic hemmorage? My best friend is an OB and is also pregnant and has a subchorionic hemmorage that causes her to bleed heavily. She's on strict bedrest (since 15 weeks). Baby is fine, but due to the hemmorage she continues to bleed. Anyways, just sounded similiar to what's going on with you so I thought I'd throw it out there--keep your head up and I'm hoping for the best for you and your little one.
