I got a Rachael Ray pot and her knives! and her Moppines! I actually got 3 of them, so that's pretty cool!

I hope to someday get her whole cookware set...hehe

I got some other little things but those were my big presents

There is NOTHING like good cookware!! I won a set of Emeril pots/pans once. I thought...sheesh, then tried them. WOO HOO they are awesome!!

Even if you add one peice at a time. The cook time is so much better, and they heat more evenly than cheaper cookware!!

    :flowerforyou:

I tried to win her whole set but NO!!!! I didn't :grumble: haha I'm pretty sure that my boyfriend was just as excited as I was....he just had to use the knife last night...he used it to cut an orange lol

I can see you guys standing in the kitchen, knife in hand....what can we CUT!!!

hahah exactly! He was like " I want to cut something" hah

I got new tools!!!! I've been using a cheap $20 toolkit from Autozone for years and my BF bought me a wonderful set of new tools. Turns out I had to use them too, to fix a busted fuel line on my car! :noway:  He loves the fact that he doesn't have to shop for 'girlie things' for me.

I also got weird socks from him and my mom. I LOVE cute socks! And money from my mom, my older brother, and my BF's mom.

I bought my BF a cordless impact, charger, and 2 batteries. How stupid is it that you have to buy them all seperate? Oh well I guess it's more convenient since the batteries fit all their tools. Oh and I'm still waiting on some expensive 880cc fuel injectors to show up, that he doesn't know he's getting. Haha! And he thought he was done opening presents....:laugh:

Got my mom the old charlie brown holiday movies, and Heidi (LOVE that movie), a new hallmark ornament, and some Hallmark coffee mugs. So cute!

my DH got me a pair of flannel pj bottoms and some slippers, and I got him some movies, for our date nights at home. We went low key, instead we spent the extra and got the kids a Wii, they love it and we can have lots of family game nights with the kids. Same here, hubby and I haven't had much chance to use it, but we will. My hubby tried to get me the wii fit for xmas, but they were sold out everywhere, my b-day is in March, I think I know what I'm getting

You and DH will have to play after the kiddos go to bed! Are you gonna get the Wii Fit for it?? That would be so much fun.

As for the boring gifts....that is my usual Christmas!! jammies and underwear for everyone!!

Can you take back the belt buckle and trade it for one you really like? AND the fact DH bought you SMALLER clothes is an awesome thing!!

    :flowerforyou:

I will probably get Wii Fit if I can ever find it. Usually by the time I get to the stores they are all gone. I suppose I could order it. Can't trade the buckle in, no gift reciept.

I know I can't blame my hubby for trying, but it just makes it more work for me, he got the stuff at Penny's which is an hour away, and I have no idea when I'm going that way. Plus I'm mad at him. He's a teacher and has 2 weeks off, and he has done absolutely nothing around the house. I come home and do dishes and laundry, and have to cook on my one day off.

What'd I get? Nothing I asked for. Why do people ASK if they aren't going to GET any of it...not even close...none of it...

I asked for a heart rate monitor & gift cards for clothes. I got gift cards for restaurants (thank you?), bath & body works stuff (which I can't use b/c of my sensitive skin...i break out horribly & they all know this), and a giant sweater (which I would love if it wasn't a horrible teal color). Oh. The icing on the cake? My aunt got me an XL sweat suit that "you can't wear now b/c you've withered away to nothing." Not that I would wear it in the first place. I can't tell you the last time I put on a pair of sweat pants. I feel so ungrateful b/c I really do hate the materialistic aspect of Christmas & do believe that "it is the thought that counts", but COME ON, PEOPLE! Don't waste your money on something I don't want &/or need! And I really don't think any of them THOUGHT about it (except my mom who bought the sweater. Long story there but the color is putrid). I'm a brat.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that all I got for Christmas is a ton of extra calories that I consumed trying to keep my dang mouth shut all day. YAY! LOL

I got a Garmin 305 Forerunner (so excited about it) but seriously, there's so much to learn.
2 $100 gift cards for Macy's! (Yeah!), and $200 in cash. I am very fortunate this year! Oh and a gift card for the local grocery store and for Outback Steakhouse. Husband excited for the Bloomin onion thing....I will not put that garbage in my body, but will check the website before dining. That onion thing is like THE number one worst thing you can eat. I got a cute puppy calendar too :)

I feel your pain. I'd rather get nothing than a bunch of stuff that I will never use or wear and feel like I have to keep it around so I don't hurt anybodies feelings. My mother in law got my girls Hana Montana, book bags. Which if they were 5 would be cool. But there is no way my 12 and 10 year old are going to take those anywhere.

WELL....are you SURE your not me in a different state and time??? I swear the DH of mine would have bought the same crap. I am HIGHLY allergic to any chemical smell and each year he would buy me a 'gift set' from CVS on the eve of holiday. I finally sat him down and said, please, please PLEASE dont buy me ANYTHING!!. That was 10 years ago and I have gotten just that for 10 years. THIS year was a big surprise!!

A new expression comes to mind....RE-gifting!!

Oh and please take a pic of you in the sweat suit and sweater....we could ALL use a laugh:laugh:

My oldest son got me a Polar F4:drinker: He actually made me cry:blushing: Funds were VERY scarce this year for christmas so we had decided that we are only buying for the boys. Well, we stuck to that and so I didnt expect to get anything for christmas. I was sooo surprised (and touched) that he spent ANY of his money on me at all! And since he's home from college until the 19th of Jan...its like he gave me 2 presents! We missss him sooooo much!

  • Earlier I talked about the presents I got, but the best gift I got was to have my entire family home for Christmas. This has not happened in years so it was very exciting. This is us in the picture.....my husband Ken, son Kurt (aka Jesus), me, daughter Colleen, son-in-law Nathan, daughter Valerie, and granddaughter Aubrey.
