i just noticed that someone on here had a "challenge buddy " graphic in their signature.....
i'm not suggesting that kristen pair us up or anything but perhaps if you are new to MFP or new to challenges or just need a boost to keep you motivated during our 16 wk challenge, that you "friend" someone from the challenge thread to give you the extra PUSH/BOOST/SUPPORT during the challenge...
again i am not saying it is an organized thing but more of a "gym selection" type of deal...you see someone on the thread with similar goals or at a similar weight or similar life and buddy up for extra messages of support on their wall or on this thread....just a thought....anyway, i'm happy to be a part of a challenge and not be running it this time....good luck everyone...0 -
Denise (bluiz) -- I think the 'buddy' thing is a great idea, and I've really appreciated your daily check-ins! If any one needs/wants a 'buddy' for the challenge (and for this journey in general) -- let me know! It definitely helps.0

I will be putting my weight in tomorrow because I will be away
for the long weekend boating.
So, I will put Friday's weight in on September 5th date if that is okay.0 -
I'd love to join ya'll as well.
I'll be looking to lose 8 pounds (starting weight should be 149- I won't be able to post a weight on Monday, but will update on Tues to change it if I need to. After this first week, Monday weigh ins will be no problem, but holidays are hard to get online, LOL).

I'm going to leave it open through 9/5 and then I'm going to close the group. I figure that will be kind of a large group. What seems to happen, with the long term challenges (as you know), is that, for one reason or another, some people drop off. Then we'll be left with a good number of people, working hard for themselves and supporting each other. At least that's what I'm anticipating. If we ALL stay focused and committed and we just have a large group, it will definitely be a learning experience for me. :-) If that is the case, I hope we all enjoy being here with each other anyway. :-)
