    I'm in! I would love to lose the extra pounds by Christmas. I started a new job a few months ago, so will aim for 1 pound a week to keep it easy. I will post an official weight on Monday. I think I'm starting at 148 and have a goal weight of 132

    Really looking forward to getting started with you all. Curious to see where I start on Monday. It is what is. Can't get worse lol only better. Still on the fence about daily, weekly or less frequent weigh ins...regardless I'll be active on the thread and looking forward to some challenges. I have about a month left with the trainers before I need to pay up again..pretty sure I'm gonna renew for another 3 months to bring me past the new year into January. My current goal is be on maintenance in February 2012, but at my current weight it's more likely I'll be "just" getting to my goal by then. Just need to stay the course. You all will help me with this. I'll post my chart Monday.

    Something that has already really helped me with hosting this challenge is... Lately, I have really wanted to have a whole day of just eating terrible. And I mean BAD!! I want to go to the Good Egg for breakfast. I want to go to Olive Garden for lunch. I want to have an apple fritter for a snack and then I want to go to the Outback for dinner. Then head to Cheesecake Factory for dessert. None of these places am I interested in ordering something low cal/low fat. I've been wanting to do this for weeks now and my husband is up for it whenever I decide to cave (he's dieting too). Before deciding to host this challenge, stupidly I decided that I would do this as soon as I got into the 140s (which should be this month). Which, of course, would throw me right out of the 140s again. ;-) But, not only do I want this to be a great place for us all to get support from each other, but I want to be a good example as well. So... My newest thought about the BAD food day is, all those places that I want to eat, to break them up and do one of the places, every two - three weeks (depending on how it effects the scale), and do the things I know to do (food, exercise, water, etc.) around those meals to make them have less impact. So... It has already really helped me to be here! Thanks for doing this with me!

    P.S. Today is the day I hit 30 lbs lost!

    I think spreading your visits to your favorite restaurants every few weeks is a great idea! This is exactly why I joined a challenge. Being in a group is definitely going to motivate me and help keep me accountable. Congrats on reaching 30lbs!!

    My GW will be 210, first mini goal, 226, second, 221, third, 216, with a final weigh in at 210 (hopefully)

    Do we have to set mini goals? I don't really have any, I find it horribly discouraging if I set them and then don't meet them.

    Since I will be out of town tomorrow also and not back until later on Tuesday, as long as she posts her starting weight and her goal weight before I close the group, she'll be in. :-)

    Weiged myself this morning and I gained a pound. I'm now 217lbs. No surprise given the junk I ate this weekend really. Would this be my new start weight as the challenge starts today or would it just count as a gain? Either way, still the same goal of 199lbs for me.
