Hello, new to MFP. After playing around with the macro %'s and checking out message boards I think I'm finally just now starting to understand! It's not just the calories but the carb-protein-fat ratios, too. I've had a hard time losing weight (since surpassing 40!) and no amount of exercise seems to do the trick. I hope tracking will help me get past this very long-term plateau.

    Same here...40 yrs old mom of 1. It does help...I don't like writing things down but using the tool to track your exercise and food intake...makes me aware of what I do and what I eat. And the support you get from people is amazing.
