Canadian Thanksgiving Inches Lost Challenge

I wasn't going to do a mid way point weight in but we sure can, that wouldn't be a problem at all. And September 20 sounds perfect, we will do that.
I do have to apologize for not getting the chart done and posting it for everybody. I had a very lazy long weekend and didn't do much of anything and now work is going super crazy. I will get it done this week and get it posted - I promise :flowerforyou:0 -
Sorry for the delay in my measurements.
Arms: R-16"/L-17"
Upper Waist: 56"
Thighs: R-31.5"/L-33"
If I am missing anything let me know.0 -
Well still haven't made it to the chart but it is on my To Do list, it is just turning into a horribly busy week all around for some reason.
It has been super quiet around here so I thought I would drum up some conversation topics - What does everyone do for exercise? Do you have an exercise/routine that you love?
Right now for exercise I have been running 3x a week usually Men, Wed and Fri and all the other days have been bike rides, I do this with Paden (my dog) every morning. At night I have laid out a program to do which includes strength, intervals and abs but I haven't been faithful to it at all. I know all the benefits of doing these things but just need to get my mind in the right place and I am finding that super hard for some reason. I have to say my that my fav workout would be going for our runs in the morning and I am l also slowly learning to love my JM DVD's. I have only used a couple so far and only a few times but I can know using them on a daily basis would provide me with fabulous benefits and results that I am looking for.0 -
Good FRIDAY morning everyone
I do the 30DS pretty much every day. Just about done level 1! I used to bike to and from work (25 min round trip) but I busted my back tire a week ago, so that kinda ruined it. With school now in session, I try to walk home each day. It's downhill, and it KILLS my leg. But - in the long run, it's better than paying for the bus for a 2 minute ride, and I get just a little bit more cardio in my day.
Anyone have special plans for the weekend?0 -
Happy Friday everyone!!!
Really love these 4 day weeks they are awesome wish I could do this every week
No special plans for me this weekend, it is just me and my kids (hubby is out of town) so we will have a lot of downtime. Clean house Saturday and I am tossing around the idea of maybe hitting the beach on Sunday, we are still supposed to be in the 30's and it may be the last nice weekend we have. Haven't fully decided yet but seriously considering it.0 -

Good Morning girls - Well we are into this challenge 14 days now and I want to know how is everyone doing??? All the good, bad and the ugly (if there is any) - anything we can help with?
I am doing good, slowly getting back to eating properly and within my calorie range for the day. Getting back to my strength training as well, will be starting that up again this evening and looking forward to it. I need to get my core strength back so that my runs aren't as hard and everything all around is easier.
So tell me how's it going with you?0 -
Hello--- meant to respond to this last week, slipped my mind!
I have been doing fairly well with sticking to 1200 calories, and I'm definitely getting results! I've dropped quite a few lbs in just a few weeks so I am feeling happy about that. I also did 5km the other day without stopping at all (which is amazing considering that in June I had to take 4 breaks going around the block!)
can't wait to hear how everyone else is doing, and see the results in a few weeks!!0 -
Hey everyone
I'm running late for work (eeep good thing I work alone!! lol) but I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I am very happy to see my weight finally move down again. I've done 3 days of level 2 Shred... it's brutal but it's working!!

Hey girls!!! It is a beautiful sunny hump day here in Lethbridge this morning, supposed to get to 24 today - woohoo!!!
Sorry I haven't been able to get on here to respond to you guys, these days my time seems to be somewhat limited. So I have changed a few things this week, as of Friday I have been running every day and have decided that I would like to continue with that and maybe have a break from the running on Sundays and instead go for a nice long walk or bike ride - haven't decided yet how I am going to do that. I also started my strength again this past Monday and boy am I a little sore, I am still running though and it doesn't seem to bother me at all. I took a break last night from the strength and will be back at it tonight. By the end of next week I want to be running every day and doing my strength every day as well.
How is everyone else doing?0 -
hello!
I have been doing okay, had a few bad days this week (in terms of going wayyy over my calories) and I haven't had too much time to get excersize in. but yesterday I stuck to my 1200cals and i'm feeling better already. it's amazing how quickly we can let ourselves get discouraged isn't it?
I have some exciting milestones coming up.....almost at 15lbs down...almost out of the 170's.....almost out of the "obese" BMI range....and almost back at my wedding weight (which was 164...when I get back to this weight I am going to put on my wedding dress, just for kicks!)
key word being "almost"....but I know that I can get there!!!0 -
Laura - You are doing awesome :flowerforyou: Love your mini goals as well, they are fabulous, I think having the mini goals really helps to make things much easier, that way you are looking at small numbers instead of large ones.
I agree you would think staying on track would be easy especially when we know what our end goal is but it is not that easy. I think it is because you are trying to take a ton of bad habits and get rid of them overnight and that just never works, as you go you are relearning and slowly it does get easier. It is just to get from point A to point B.
We had talked about having mid way measurements so if everyone wants to do that in the next couple of days and get them to me I will add them to the chart and see if maybe I can get it posted properly this time.
TGIF and I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend0 -
thanks! I reached 170 today, yipee!

LADIES, WHERE IS EVERYONE!?!?0
-
I was thinking the same thing Laura - what happened to everyone???
We only have 1 week left - I hope everyone is doing okay and we can see some good losses :happy:0 -
I still check new posts I've just been super busy lately and therefore super quiet on MFP! This weekend consists of homework, studying, more homework, and making myself get back to working out!0
-
Well I am happy to see that some of us are still around  We have 7 days left so let's make the best of it and see if we can move those inches.
I am really looking forward to see how we all did in our very brief challange :flowerforyou:0 -

Hello ladiesHere are my measurements for September 1:
Biceps: 14" L / 14" R
Upper Waist: 44"
Thighs: 26" L / 25.5" R
My Thanksgiving measurements are as follows:
Biceps: 14" L / 13" R (Down 1" on R. How did that happen?? LOL)
Upper Waist: 43.5" (Down 0.5")
Thighs: 25" L / 25" R (Down 1.5" total)
So... final verdict is -3 inches, and I think about 3 lbs. Certainly not as much as I had hoped, but ever since school started in the first week of September, everything has been chaotic and stressful.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's results!0 -
I know we are missing a few people so I am going to give it until Friday to see if we get anymore results. If not then I will post the chart Friday evening and we can see how we all did :happy:0
