You bet! :drinker:
Just yours though, cuz you asked first. :laugh:0 -
We just finished building our house in April so the inside is still all good, but I need to get a fence put up and I would love to add two additional decks to the ones I already have. Why does fencing have to be so danged expensive??? All our other houses came with fences so I had no idea how expensive those suckers are. I guess it doesn't help that I am wanting to fence in about 2 acres.0

Can you coax hubs & son to build one for you??? :bigsmile:0 -

already recruited them plus several coaches from work, its just the cost of the fencing that is holding me back. Need to either have a rich relative I knew nothing about kick the bucket or win the lottery. Hmmm......since my relatives are all poor like me and Arkansas doesn't have a lottery yet, I think I am SOL.:bigsmile:0 -
I want to do NOTHING to my house this year! Is that a goal? We've lived her 5.5 years & have:
1) Installed new glass block basement windows
2) Installed new 6' privacy fence along entire back property/side property lines
3) New front porch
4) New side deck
5) New patio w/ pergola
6) Reinforced 3 basement walls
7) Waterproofed said basement w/ a new sump
8) Had Invisible Fence installed for our stupid dog
9) GUTTED the downstairs bathroom & started from scratch
10) Had new windows installed
11) Had new siding put on
12) Had insulation blown into our walls
13) laid harwood floor in the living rom
and that's not even counting the painting, trimming & redecorating I've done. THIS, my friends, is why you don't buy a rental! :grumble:0 -

LOL Was that too much for ya, Shannon? I love my house b/c it was a good deal when we bought it & it has met all of our needs for shelter, but this place is a money pit. I swear every time we turn around, something else is going wrong! When my second boy was about 6 weeks old, I heard this horrible hissing sound & then water literally blew out my wall & flooded my kitchen. A pipe had froze & the pressure was so great, it blew a softball size chunk out of my drywall. I swear this place is possessed. :noway:0 -
I just re-read my list to see what was voluntary on our part & what was *kitten* that happened we had to fix...TWO things we did without "having" to. Everything else, something happened to lead up to that. Our front porch for example crumbled into pieces one day. The old one was concrete & one day, I walked out front & the top had just started crumbling. So a few more days go by, then there's a hole there. Pretty soon, my mailman said he couldn't deliver the mail to the box any more b/c of the giant crater that was taken out. I don't know. I just need to be thankful that we have a house!0

I certainly hope so! We hope to move in about 4-5 years so we shall see then! I do love our house, it is just a wee bit too small for 2 adults, 3 kids, & 2 dogs.
I do like your idea about the new fixtures, though! That always makes a room look better. :happy:0 -

We've put off a lot of the cosmetic changes and it's really starting to show. BUT I think we'll have to replace the hot water heater before anything is done. :grumble:0 -

Oh, sweet heavens don't say that too loud....mine might hear you! :indifferent:
Don't you hate projects like that! You don't WANT to do them, but they take front row b/c they start to affect your daily life. After I saw you put down "paint" I looked up & saw my ugly kitchen...now I want to paint it. LOL It is the only room we haven't painted since we've moved in & it is still that "rental white" color. Blah.0 -

I just got to thinking that it was funny that you posted this topic cause everytime I look at peoples pictures I am generally looking at what is in the background and trying to see how their houses are decorated. I guess I am just a frustrated interior/exterior decorator at heart.0

1. Recover from Christmas clutter
2. Rearrange living room so we can Wii without neck cramps an potential disaster
3. Bulldoze Jaymerz' office
4.Redo Jaymerz office (new computer desk etc)
5. New table and chairs...the nice set (that will look good for 5-10), or the REALLY beautiful set ( that will withstand time and decor and will become an heirloom)??? Decisions....decisions....
Figure this list should be good 'till at least June!0 -

1. Keep rearranging Christmas clutter so that she can't get to the other items.
2. Suggest that in order to move the tv, we will need a professional crew of both house movers, and an electronics team to get everything rewired, so it's too expensive.
3. Build fence in front of office door.
4. Set booby traps in office.
5. Super glue the old chairs back together.
...no wonder we're such a gr8 team, huh?! :drinker:  :bigsmile:0 -
