I desperately need to get to the store and stock up on some healthy munchies...also need to plan meals for the week (I seem to eat way better when that is done). Anyone have any new recipes they've tried lately that they'd like to share!?!?!

I'm getting ready to go take the poochies for a walk, been super busy the last few days but wanted to pop in and catch up with you all. Hope you're have a wonderful wekeend!

I hear you about meal planning.....soooo much easier when you do that! I'd also love some healthy trusted recipes...I am a meat and potatoes and casserole girl so everything I make is high in calories it seems! I just watch my portions and now am trying to put my fork down between bites. It seems to be helping, I don't leave the table quite as hungry as I think I would.

Hope your walk was nice, and hope you're having a good weekend too! BBQ tonight, so I did my C25K early today - hope I can control myself around the appetizers!

I too did bad yesterday.. but went to the zoo today and walked over 1200 calories! I still have about 800 for the day- enjoying a glass of wine after a long hot day.

For some reason not hungry so may just make a salad. As for healthy recipes.. hmmm I'll have to dig some up! I tend to make all sorts of food (hubs needs to GAIN lol) and just eat less of the fatty/cal filled stuff and lots more veg! I also try and drink a full glass of water before a meal- that helps!

T minus 3 days til weigh in!

So Jealous about the zoo! I live in the middle of nowhere and have to drive at least 2 hours to get to a decent one for my kids to see - you know how hard it would be to put the kids in the car for two hours and then have them ENJOY the zoo?!?

Like the tip about the full glass of water - I always forget that...

Happy early birthday chickie! I’ve never had Mongolian food…what’s the flavor profile? My current fave ethnic food is Mediterranean YUM!

Well I end up did making myself go for the walk with the pooch, he LOVED it! I’ve been slacking on walking him…:blushing: AND today I got my butt out of bed early to do the Shred. Hit the store yesterday and hubby and I planned our meals out for the week. He doesn’t necessarily like my “healthy” foods, but we’ve found quite a few recipes that satisfy both of us. But I feel like I’m constantly looking for new things since we get sick of eating the same things day in and day out. I made a turkey chili last night and he's putting a Spanish Chicken recipe in the crock pot tonight, can't wait to taste it!

I have class tonight 6-10:30...BLAH!!!!!! Gotta get back to finishing my homework so catch up with you all tomorrow!

I took the fam to the beach this weekend. I did a lot of walking but also ate more than I should. We hit up the buffet at the casino for break fast. I tried to fill up on fruit and yogurt but the yogurt was sour. I know I slacked on drinking water but I'm working on that right now. I definately will have a loss this week but I'm thinkin it won't be as nice as I hoped for. I stayed lush free though:wink:

I too stayed lush free...yay! I did some yoga yesterday, ran around at volleyball practice and then ran around after the kids. Feeling okay about tomorrow.

Kasi - You'll get back on track from the beach, just stay at it!!!!!

I'm also feeling ok about the weigh in tomorrow. Last week I was having trouble getting the scale pic off my phone, so ended up taking a pic with the digital camera that evening to upload so I wouldn't be out of the comp - I was up 3 pounds from the pic I took on my phone first thing in the morning - so if I do tomorrow's first thing in the morning I should automatically have a loss right?

Over the weekend was a little rough for me, but since Sunday I've been doing good. Hoping it shows on the scale!

I feel like crying! This week has totally sucked. As of right now I have a slight loss but not close to what I hoped for. I've been so busy with everyone else I haven't had time for myself. I know TOM is sneaking up on me too and that is not helping anything:grumble:

Okay, I'm done complaining. I will get up and run tomorrow morning, post my loss no matter how small (it's a loss...any loss is good), and start the new week fresh without worries. I can do this... I know I can:bigsmile: Thanks for hearing my ramble team:tongue:

    GO SCALE SMASHERS!!!

Kasi - I ssssssooooooo empathize with you! I also put everyone else's needs and wants before my own (hence the appearance of a pregnancy I've currently got going on). It's really hard to be selfish, but sometimes it's neccessary, and now is one of those times. :flowerforyou: And I don't only say that because WE NEED TO WIN THIS COMP!!!!!  I also empathize about that b@st@rd TOM! :explode: This morning I got a not-so-subtle explanation for my recent intense hunger, irritability and bloating....

Jessica - You and Kim are going to have SO much fun at the Warrior Dash, I'm jealous! Don't drink too much afterwards though! And yeah, about the GO PACK GO comment, I'm going to leave that one alone.....

I will admit, they played their @sses off against the Saints. The Steelers Superbowl loss to them is just still a little sore. Added to the Ravens handing them their @sses on Sunday....yeah, I'm going to change the subject now. :blushing:

    So...how bout this weather?

Wow, you girls sure know alot about football! My husband watches it all the time and as hard as I try I just can't seem to fallow it. I know the game but I get bored watching it. My whole family is huge Oregon Duck fans though so I go to those games and have a lot of fun. It's totally different when you are actually there. I think my problem has something to do with it being so hard to keep track of certain players. Last weekend was my son's first football game and I swear I spent the whole game just trying to find him. They move so stinkin' fast!

So, I just got back from getting all my kids off to school and my sister is suppose to come by to pick something up THEN I should be able to get out and run. I did weigh myself already though and guess what! I am down 1.8lbs! I'm totally happy with that... all that ranting for nothing! Thanks for listening though and all your encouraging words. I love this challenge! Everyone ROCKS!:flowerforyou:

Yay, Kasi! A loss is a loss right?

I went home during my planning period and did a 30 minute Turbo Fire workout and I haven't eaten lunch yet...I'm going to weigh in before I do.

I've been so "blah" lately...there's a pic of me on here (or there was, I might have taken it down) with a super-tight, super-skinny abs, my shoulders are rocking, and I look...well, pretty good for a 38-year old mom of 2. Today, I put on the pants I bought about a month before I found MFP and started watching what I ate and really exercising...I call them my fat pants. At the end of the school year, I almost gave them away because they were HUGE on me. I'm glad I didn't. They fit just fine.

So, this comp is definitely what I needed!!

We watch football. I don't love it, but I understand it enough to understand the games and what not. I'm in Denver, so we have the whole "quarterback controversy" going on.

Jessica, have so much fun at the WD!!! I wanted to do it this year, but I had my knee scoped in July and I would have had to drop out. I definitely want to try it next year.

Okay, lovelies...I need to weigh in! Wish me luck!!

Kasi - I've lived in Pittsburgh my whole life, it's pretty much a sin to NOT be a Steelers fan. Jessica's team (the Packers) beat us in the Superbowl last year. I don't really like college football, but the NFL is ok. Of course if the Steelers aren't playing I'm not as interested. But my hubby, he watches ANY and EVERY football game on. And basketball....that's a whole other story! WTG on the loss and hope you get that run in! Maybe I'll try and run today (if it's not raining when I get home) instead of doing Jillian's Shred. We'll see.....

I weighed in this morning, down 2.5 lbs I think (forget what last week's weigh in was bc I had a fiasco uploading the darn pic). Didn't have time to upload it before work so I'll do it this evening. Oh yeah, and I need to get my measurements too. Good God I'm afraid of what my number will be!
