So a friend of mine who never really has been supportive of my weight loss (I have lost 35lbs before jong here and I have gone from being the fat one too the thinner one - I am thinner than her) said to me I need to stop exercising so hard because I will never lose my belly!
Now how unssupportive is that! I mean of course I can lose my belly its just fat its not like I want to change my bone shape.
Why would someone say that

Doesn't sound like much of a friend.
I'm sorry she said that.0 -

Geez, ok now that is rude... Why would she even care how much you exercise?0
-
jealous more then likely0

Sounds like a jealous b!tch to me. Use it as fuel to further motivate you.
There is nothing better than being underestimated. Prove her wrong.0 -
I agree that it's jealousy. What a snot!0
-
How rude, it is not a friend, but surely jealous of your success! Don't listen to such people!0
-
Because she's a heinous cow?0
-
Insecurity and jealousy. Just brush it off and keep it moving because your friend is the one with the problem, not you.0

She's jealous and your fantastic success is making her feel inadequate...
Don't let her discourage you. Instead, feel sorry for her and give yourself a huge pat on the back! :drinker:0 -
I wouldn't let that get to me.. You aren't doing this for her so who cares what her opinion is. She probably wishes she could do what you've done.0

A good friend of mine or so I thought, pretty much has quit talking to me since I have lost weight and she has gained. You are not alone on this matter. I think it is a more of a matter of success than the actual weight loss. I think some have a hard time with others successes when they don't or can't achieve it themselves. **hugs**0

Can we say JEALOUS? Keep up the work and don't let her discourage you : )0

no offense, but I think you need to re-think your friends. I will NEVER understand why people stay 'friends' with people who belittle them, are never there when you need them and are really not friends at all.
With friends like this woman, you don't need enemies
I'd tell her to eat sh** and die - but that's just me
s'why I'm WICKED cricket0 -
Sounds like a hater!!! Get a new friend0

because they are jealous. I have some very close to me that look angry when I am smaller than them.0

Sounds to me like she is jealous of your weight loss you keep it up and don't let what someone says bother you. A true friend would not insult you! Good luck!!0
-
What a jealous *****!! You are doing amazing! :drinker:0

Did you punch her in the face??
What a cow! She is so envious of you, strut your stuff and rub her face in it.
I think you need some new friends, add me if you like.0 -
From Urbandictionary:
Hater
1. A person that simply cannot be happy for another person's success. So rather than be happy they make a point of exposing a flaw in that person. Hating, the result of being a hater, is not exactly jealousy. The hater doesnt really want to be the person he or she hates, rather the hater wants to knock someone else down a notch.
3.A person who feels anger and/or jealousy for someone who has succeeded in something they have worked hard for.
A being who speaks badly,and/or takes negative actions in attempt to create problems for a successful person.0 -
A good friend doesn't discourage you from something that's important to you and trying to better yourself. Prove her wrong--you can do it! :flowerforyou:0

I'd say she doesn't sound like much of a friend, but really even friends can be insecure and jealous.0

Oh dear, your jealous friend thinks she can psyche you out with a silly, misinformed dig. She's trying to undermine you because misery loves company. Be sorry for her. Anyone who can't be happy for the success of other people is destined to a life of bitterness.0

Curiosity did not kill the cat. It was jealousy.0

Ha ha!! No it was over the phone!!
But seriously you are all so right like seriously who says that! I am going to not see her for a while then turn up to our next meeting in a crop top and be like LOOK AT ME NOW *kitten*!!0 -
You have had a terrific achievement, focus on that and not on belittling so called friends. Feel free to add me if you like. Support, encouragement and lots of hugs come from good friends.0
