Ladies... why do some women wear a regular bra and sports bra to the gym? It seems weird and uncomfortable...

You get some 38Gs and we'll see what you're wearing to run in.

I have DDs, I get wearing two sports bras but why the regular bra and the sports bra?
  • LOL- Why would u even wear a regular bra to the gym? clearly you're not working hard enough bc that would ruin a bra

i wear a regular bra (unpadded ones that i only use for working out) and a sports bra because i cant go with just one and 2 sports bras just feels tight and uncomfortable...thats just me though...

I wear the least-"supportive" bra I can get away with, as providing exterior "support" is actually not all that good for breast tissue.

A little bounce is a good thing. Smacking yourself in the face while running, not so much. But, less is more.
  • So funny......I have huge tatas and wore two bras for the first time today to see if it would help.....and it did, just a regular bra does not keep my tatas from bouncing rediculously, just a sports bra and they bounce as one and sometimes can come out of the bottom if I am running or jumping......wearing two bras helped out tons, I could concentrate on working out and not worrying about my tatas the whole time.

It has nothing to do with cup size. I was an HH when I started running. If you have the right bra, you don't need to double up. People do it because they think they can get away with buying cheap sports bras. Get an underwired Freya or a shock absorber D+. You won't need to double up and nothing will move an inch.

Yeah, they really have to fit well. I am getting towards needing my 4th change in size in 10 months.

just dont want to spend to much on things when i still got a wys to go ,and then they wont fit, i guess when the double up method no longer works i will have to break down and getsome
  • I am also a F or G cup, ya, I need to wear two bras, I say it is up to the person, it is not like it is hurting you that another perosn is wearing two bras. And two sports bras just maeks them all move together, doesn't help me.

Everyone is different. I personally find this a big help on my back and if I want to do it, I will

I'll admit I wear three but that's because no one around here sells a sports bra big enough for my 36J's. Im going to break down and pay the 90 for one that hopefully fits online!
  • I know, few understand. I have had ones that fit, but honestly break down real easy and really not as supportive as I would like

i wear a sports bra under and a crop top bra (which has very little support if i wear it on it's own) on top... Two underwires just don't really work, but the 2 bras together, my boobs don't move... I have a good supportive sports bra, but if i try and run with that on alone, my boobs are everywhere and it's really difficult to focus and get a rhythm going with all the boob movement, but with the crop top over the top, it works a treat, minimal movement, all good. it was the best idea i've ever been given off of mfp (thanks girls).

I think 2 bras of any sort would have a similar effect.

sucks to have big boobs. mine have gone from a DD to a D, and probably not too far away from a C, but they are saggy, so i totally need the double bra, and think i always will, even if they do get smaller.

Enell makes a great large breasted sports bra...it is a front clasp with about 10 fastners but so worth the $65 I spent on them. I don't move at all i'm a DD and that is the only bra I wear.

About them breaking down....do not use fabric softner with any bra or workout article of clothing. I have had my bras for 1 year and they work as well now as they did then even with a decrease in my size since I bought them.

Confession: I wear a regular bra and a sports bra because I look extra flat with just a sports bra and it's embarrassing.

I have to wear a regular underwire bra AND a sports bra. Like someone else said.... two sports bras just makes them all move together. Sure as heck wish I could get by with less but hey

I ordered the Enell bra this morning!!! A friend got one and went from the whole "figure 8" boob slap  (even with 2 bras) to rock solid, no movement, she is able to run without pain... I WANT THAT!!!! I thought it was cool that if you are not one of the sizes they offer normally they will custom do one for like $15 more.... My friend had to do that cause she is TINY around the ribcage but her cup size makes me look like I'm flat!!! I am so stoked! I will post how well it works once it gets here!
