what is your ideal number of kids?

I have a little girl who's turning two next Monday, and will be trying for a second on my Honeymoon this November! 2 Is enough for me, and I hope to have another girl as I'd love to give my first a baby sister

I don't know if there is an ideal number. I do have 5 kids. If we could afford more and my poor body could take it I would have more though...I miss when they grow out of the baby stage and there is no one cuddling up to you anymore : ( There is nothing quite like the unspoiled true love of a child to make you feel loved and important. Ofcourse, then they get bigger and know everything and argue with you about everything, LOL! :laugh:0

Once married I only wanted 1...I had that 1 and then there was the 2nd and now my life and family is complete with 3.
2 oldest are boys, the baby is a girl. All is well in my life.
Oh and the baby making is over....done....the end.0 -
I have one (although he is 21 this year!!)
Other than that no thanks..
With 3 horses, 3 cats and a dog, I've enough babies around to be minding for the next while!! Lol...0 -
I always thought it was 2. But someone else had other plans it seems and we ended up with 3. 1 girl and 2 boys ages 8, 4 and 2. Wouldn't change it for the world now.0

I have 2... I wanted 3-4 kids until I had to have my first by c section. Then I had my 2nd the same way.. Then I said to hell with that and had my tubes tied when I was in my c section with my youngest lol. Like a PP said, the only kids that come in this house from now on will have 4 legs and fur.0

I never wanted kids when I was younger. That all changed with my first. I now have four boys... and there are a set of twins in there. I am the queen of my castle!!!0

I never wanted one of my own. I was perfectly happy with my nieces, nephews & friends kids until I had my own. I would trade him for the world but, I also do not want any more.0 -

have to say i agree...i have one...and im more than happy with my 4 yr old son...i love him n love to spoil him ...as much as i can and love to give him what my parents wernt able to do for me.....=)0 -
I have 2. My ideal is maybe 4 or 6? I would happily keep going with more babies, live on a farm and home school them. My husband has other ideas.0

If they have any...me and my younger brother are both not planning on having any.

My brother, on the other hand, has given them TWO grandsons. But for some odd reason, my children will be different because I'm the first born yada yada yada.

They'll run into some fairly stiff competition from my children. My firstborn's ambition is to take over the world with giant robots. And be a ballet dancing rock star. He has high ambitions.0 -

For me it's 3. And that's exactly what I got. I never had a "set" number. I had 1 then knew I wanted a 2nd. After that the hubby was pretty sure he didn't want more, but I wasn't sure. I never felt "complete". Then here come a surprise pregnancy with #3 and I felt complete. The hubster said he couldn't imagine not having 3 and God knew exactly what he was doing.0

I wanted 10, but only got 1, but he's the equivalent of 10 so I guess you take what you can get. LOL0

I have a 2 yr old boy and want another one (preferrably girl) probably in 2 years or so... I wish I already had 2 though because I am going to bust my butt to lose all this weight and then get pregnant again and gain some weight back. I know that's just part of it, but I can't help thinking about how much that is going to suck.0

2! But I have 3!! And now, I couldn't imagine life without my little "Benjo"! And since, having him almost killed me (literally), he is the end - 2 girls and 1 boy.0

I had 3 girls...(ages 12, 4, 3) the oldest lives with her dad in Hawaii. I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got now. They are a handful lol. NO MORE KIDS !0
