I too have just come back from eight days in Ireland and was mostly drinking Murphy's (I was in Cork after all). But I was craving ale rather than stout.
tonights choice will mostly be Butcombe gold or whatever the guest ale is. I live in cider country and really wish I could enjoy a pint of it but my taste buds just won't allow it.0 -
Now, whenever I'm going out, I ask the waitress to tell me what they have that "isn't a light beer."
However, my heart belongs to Leinie's and Blue Moon simply because of their availability everywhere around here.
Ah, another Minny girl! My sister & family live in No Branch................nice community
I'll agree with you on the Leinies (personal fave HoneyWeiss) and Blue Moon.
Can't pass up a Rolling Rock - that's my 'standard' beer of choice.
Guess I've never cared much for "flavored" beers........the cherry/blueberry/coffee/ etc thing just doesn't taste right to me. I want my beer to taste like beer! And I'll admit to being a wussie and NOT caring for dark beers.
It's all such a personal preference!0 -
Leinenkugel's. Brewed in Wisconsin, where all good beer comes from!!! :drinker:
Their Summer Shandy was the only thing I drank this summer.....soooo good!! :drinker:0 -

I'm a big "Blue Moon" drinker. We had a crawfish festival here when it first came out and its the best beer to eat crawfish with. I have not been drinking any beer lately because of the calories in them. I have had a few bud selectes with 55 calories. its not bad but its not great eather0

WHat beers have you been into lately?
Sam Adams Blackberry Wit has been a staple the last couple summers. This summer I tried the SA Rustic Saison. Very tasty!0 -

Haha, so glad I'm not the only one that can't touch the "pee water!" I think Coors Light and Miller Lite fit in that category. Ick!
Whomever mentioned the Shocktop Raspberry Wheat...thanks for bringing it up. I haven't heard of that, but I LOVE Shocktop and will have to look for it. Sounds delicious!
I'm a sucker for a good wheat beer or hefeweizen.0 -

I like Belgian ales, like Chimay, Orval, and Duvel. Or a nice IPA or Brown. Or a crisp Pilsner. On a hot summer day, give me a Wit or a Kölsch.0
