Most of us have an ideal way we want our body to look like, our thighs being able to fit into a certain size jean, our midsection to have a certain amount of tone to it, arms to have a certain amount of muscle, and our faces not to have a double chin. My question for you all is, what do you want to your body to look like when you are completely done with your weight loss journey?
Being 5'2'', any weight on me will make me look huge. MFP says a healthy weight range for my height is between 101.2lb-136.7. That to me is a very wide range, my personal goal is to get to 121lb. I don't know what size jeans that'd be but I do want to be a size 2 or 3! I don't think women having six packs are attractive so I just want to be toned enough to look good in a bikini and have a belly button ring! My double chin is slowly but surely going away. I can't wait till its completely gone. I have recently made a poster board of magazine pictures that I have cut out, they are all of women who have the body I want. I posted it up in my living room where I can see it when I work out and eat. Hopefully this will make me not want to eat the bad foods!0 -
i want to get back to my marinecorps size 230 wt 6' 3" lot of muscle im definetly going to have to work hard but its going to happen........oooooorah0

I'm the same. I would like to be the appropriate weight for my height, but also have a flat (not too muscular looking) tummy and my thighs don't have to be like "thigh-gap" skinny, but I would like for them to be a lot smaller than they are now. I just want to be toned and petite.
Oh and recently I've become obsessed with tumblr as motivation.0 -
This is a fantastic challenge and am excited to join. I believe it is the motivation I need to get to a decent weight by Christmas. I will accept options 3 (losing 1.6 pounds per week). My family is going to Disney in February so this will get me motivated to loose the extra weight by then.
Starting weight: 208
First Goal. 198 Thanksgiving
2nd: 186: Christmas
3rd: 175: January 25th
4th: 169: Feb 15th We leave for Disney this day!!0 -
I have a goal of getting into the pair of shorts I wore 10 years ago in my profile pic. (They are hanging on the outside of my closet so I can look at them every day!) They are still like new. I was 127 back then. I want my husband to tell me I'm beautiful again. Mostly I just want to be healthy so I can be a good example for my family and live a long life watching my kids become adults and beyond.

Sorry it took so long for me to log in! I lost ZERO pounds I tried too.. vacations are so good, yet so bad...0

I've never been skinny so I have no idea what I would like like at a low weight. I know it says my healthy weight range is between 111.2 - 150.2 lbs so I am going to start off at the 150 range and see how I like my body at that weight. I really need to start working out my arms more because I'm tired of that under arm fat. My legs are really toned for being my weight but I've always had muscular legs. I just want to be toned but I not crazy muscular.0

I would ideally like to be between 135 and 145lbs.. I think that is a nice range, because I know my body will fluctuate from time to time. Really, I just can't wait to be able to wear a dress, and not get the thigh chub rub, cause that really sucks. I'd also like to be rid of my bat wings, which I can admit are not that bad, but I just want my arms to be firm. I'll never be able to wear a bikini again, because my stretch marks are so terrible, it looks like a tiger took its claw and sliced right down my abdomen, but I would just love to have a flat tummy, and no more dropping mommy pouch.. Size wise, a comfortable size 6, possibly a snug 4, just so I can say I fit into it, lol..0

Until about 7 years ago I weighed between 125-130 and that is where I want to be again. I like to be able to wear sexy dresses and look really nice in shorts- living in AZ that is almost a necessity! I've always had trouble with extra belly and thigh fat- even at my lowest weight of 115- so I am working on strength training and toning- I just want to be firm, but I don't need washboard abs to be happy. At 54, widowed and making a new life for myself I just want to feel good, look good and be healthy again.
For the last two years I have been talking about losing 15-20 pounds. Then after LAST Christmas my weight hit 160- and I am only 5'6"- awful! I tried all kinds of jump-starts and could never shed more than 3-5 pounds and make it stay off, so when I found MFP on my blackberry apps I decided to give it a try. I have never belonged to a "fitness community" or posted or been a part of a challenge, so this is really helpful to me- and if I am successful in this challenge I will be more than halfway to my overall goal by the first of the year. A great way to start 2012!0 -
Hey Yall!
I posted my two 300 dinner recipes on my status. Both are two of my favorite things that I loved to eat when I was abroad. Both are super simple to make - you just need to have all of the stuff.
One is an Italian pasta dish and one is a Korean dish. The Korean dish is technically over 300 calories, but that is because of the egg. I never ate egg in my bibimbap, I just put a ton of veggies. All "veggie bibimbap" recipes had egg in them so I just figured I would tell yall if you decided to make it and wanted to be lower cal, just ditch the egg.
Let me know what yall think!0 -

I have always been pretty athletic and in shape. I ran, played tennis, chased my kids....then I had a ridiculous accident which caused a broken ankle, a sprained ankle, and a broken wrist. I had been running about 25 miles a week when it happened--trying to ditch the last of the baby weight I had gained throughout 4 pregnancies. I was completely bedridden for almost three weeks...then pretty immobile for months afterwards. I couldn't exercise, I couldn't live my life, I got very depressed...and I just ate. Anything and everything. About the same time, my marriage took a nosedive, my ex-husband ran us into the ground financially and tried hiding things from me...my world just unraveled. I ate more, went on anti-depressants and the weight just rolled on. Anyhow--I have since divorced, and remarried and am extremely happy and content with my life, although it challenging--as you will see if you read my blog:)
So my goals...I am 5'4" but will never be a waif, nor do I want to be! My lowest weight since kids, was about 15 years ago...I was 121 and when I look at the pics of myself, I feel I look emaciated...I don't like that. I will be very content at 135-140...which should put me into a size 8...and I would love that! Also, when I was that low...I barely ate anything...and I love food. I love to cook, and would do it for a living if I could just up and walk away from my responsibilities now:)0 -
I weighed in at 235.5 today!! I won't have time to weigh myself Saturday since I am working on a school project. I guess even though I didn't really exercise this week..at least the stress from school helped! lolol..I'll be better next week (:0
-
I sort of did the challenge this week - I tried to do Yoga Meltdown. Three times. I have not yet gotten through it. It takes serious strength lol.
I make it a little further each time I try so um... I will get all the way through it by 2012.
Even though I have been exercising/eating well this week, I know I am not going to make the weigh-in. I've lost, but not enough
That's okay though - maybe there will be a challenge that will hit the right notes for me and jumpstart something.0 -
I tried a couple new exercise routines this week--a Butt Bible workout, a resistance band workout and a 20 day shred workout...0

What did you think of the butt bible workout? That is on my on-demand and I was thinking of trying it.0 -
I was sore for two days!!! I am going to keep it in my rotation though--it was a good workout!0

Today's weight: 168.8 lbs, which is -2.4 from last Saturday.
Whew!! Wasn't sure things would be good this morning0 -
I gained like 2 pounds. *Le sigh* I have been measuring and my waist went down a little bit and my legs too. I guess that is good, but that scale just makes me feel awful. -_-
Put me down at 184.2.0 -
212.8 for me this week!! So happy! GL to everyone!!!
Angel0 -
Woohoo!! I'm down 1.3lbs from 207.5 to 206.2.. I'm getting closer to onderland, and I can't wait!!0
-
Down 1.8!! 256.0 this am! Yeah!! Don't know if we're supposed to update but I also added the two hours extra into my week.0
-
173.3 maintained but didn't lose- here is to trying harder next week...0

I had scale fiasco these past two weeks so everything needs to be adjusted I think. The scale I originally weighed myself on, I won't be able to weigh again until this coming Tuesday. The two scales I show at home show 203 and the other one shows 196...i don't know which one to believe. I am going to go with the high one, just because perhaps on Tuesday, I will be pleasantly surprised:)
Anyhow, i did the challenges last week since I posted late...could you change the weight on week 1 to 205, and the weight for this week is officially 203. (although, I hope when i weight myself tuesday morning, it is a lot less than that!)0 -
I am totally bummed out! After a week with only 1 day over my calorie goal , 10 miles of walking, nearly 15 miles of mountain hiking and a fast 5K walk, I am STILL at the same weight- 155.8- I don't get it- so I didn't make the goal this week!0

So I'm still missing quite a few of you guys... Not sure what happened this week. If you are unable to get it in by Saturday please get it in on Friday.

holy cow! I was worried I would miss the cutoff and yet I end up winning my group... wow.
My challenge is to give up either fast food or soda for the week. It can be done!0 -
Not sure if I made it or not but my weight this week is 210lbs. That's 1.6lbs down from last week. If I didn't0
-
Hope I made the cut off in time....tried to log on all day but could not get a connection as I was up in a lovely Spanish village working at a wedding and the internet connection was down as there was a forest fire !!...Helicopters out dropping water, firefighters out and we just managed to get all the guests up before the road was cut off for 3 hours.......all in a day's work.
So...my weight this morning was - 75.4 kg = 165.9 lbs - will have to check what result that is against last week...will post that in a minute..!!0
