How often do you record a loss/gain?

I weigh myself every day - just can't kick the habit - I record new weight every time it changes? Up or down? What do others do?

I record losses. (only) LOL0

i weigh all the time but only have one 'official weigh in day' which i log on here, gain or loss0
-
I weigh myself each morning but I record on here twice a month because I am greedy and like seeing a bigger number. lol0

Daily am time...0

I weigh every day also and I have this weird system where I have to "pass" a number to record it. My scale weighs in .2 pound increments. So, for example, I was 177 point something for a few days, but I didn't record my weight as 177 until it became 176 point something. I don't have a set weigh-in day. It helps motivate me to claim every pound lost.0

I weigh every morning and enter into an app I have on my phone. I enter into MFP every other week b/c of a challenge I joined.0

Same for me! I weight every morning but only record it when it's going down!0 -
i weigh myself every morning right when i wake up. but i dont record it on here unless its been consistent for a few days cuz i tend to flucuate from day to day sometimes0

I only weight in once a month, and so far the number has only gone down. If I saw a gain, I like to think I'd have the guts to record it and be honest with myself. :-)0

I weigh myself every morning but I only log once per week. It honestly makes me cringe to see when people are logging every other day.0

I weigh every morning and just enter my weight in my food notes section on the mobile phone...this way I can look back and see what I was. Now of course if I lose I record that 'officially' LOL!0

Umm never - but I need to start!!0

I weigh every day but don't record it all the time either. I usually wait for a significant loss. I know some people say it's a bad idea to weigh every day, but for me it helps me to realize that fluctuations are just that, and not to get too excited or frustrated. I also just read an article in a health magazine that said people who weigh themselves every day are less likely to let the pounds slowly creep up. Of course, if you're finding yourself obsessed with the scale, it would probably be ok to back off a little and not look at it for awhile.0

Weigh daily; record daily. Up or down doesn't matter. Can't use data productively if you don't record it.0

I only log it if I have lost weight or if it's been while since I last recorded a weight. And I also only record pounds, no .5 or .1 or anything like that...0

I weigh myself every morning before I eat & after I pee. I don't record it til Friday.0

Once a week I weigh and record. Also do measurements then.0

I log it weekly, on the same day... gain... loss... doesn't matter what I weigh on my check-in day gets entered.0
-
I just started logging my weight everyday....I want to see the trends in gain and loss....
Note: Turn off the status update that says you lost weight or it'll be in your feed every other day.0 -
I weigh whenever I want and record every Monday morning (keeps me honest through the weekend). As long as you are consistent then it's a tool like everything else.0

I love the idea of recording it in the food notes!
I just started, but I think that Wednesday is going to be my official recording day.0 -
I tend to weigh myself whenever I feel the fattest. Not that that helps exactly, but it makes me a little more motivated to rectify it. Perhaps I should just pick one day to weigh a week and record it.0

I have always (while watching my food intake) weighed every day. I record into an app on my phone (which also records women's issues) but I only log here on Thursdays... every Thursday.0

I am the same. I have a graph too which projects my goal weight for the week and then my actual. It really helps.0 -
My official weigh in day is Friday and that is the one that I record. As I've gotten closer to my goal weight I tend to weigh myself every day even though I know I shouldn't. This week was an exception for me as I was the same weight 2 weeks in a row and then for no reason at all lost 6 pounds in 2 days and just had to record that and now promised I won't record a new weight til not this Friday, but next Friday since I already recorded an official one this week.0

I weigh daily in the mornings. I went a few weeks one time and I'll be honest it was horrible. It keeps me on track I think. I just started this week with mfp, so I have been recording it as I go. . In my paper food journal my official weigh in day is Sunday, I am counting calories and comparing it to the old ww point system.0

I also weigh in every morning but don't officially record my weight until Thursdays. Haven't gained any weight, but I will post a gain if that is what the scale says.0

I record every Monday morning.0
