True or False - Burnt fat releases past toxins...

It's an idea that I've come across a few times over the years...
As you gain weight, your fat cells collect and hold toxins, perhaps for years.
Then, when you burn the fat and lose weight, the toxins are released back into your system and make you feel awful.
Has anyone else heard of this?
If so, during your weight loss, have you felt sick, lightheaded, nauseous, etc? Could this be the cause?
I've heard of that. Don't know how true it is though.0 -
If this were true, I would be stoned every time I leave the gym thanks to many years of inhaling THC, which is stored in fat.0

To be fair, when I started working out hard a few years back, I did feel stoned afterwards. It went away after about a week. Although, we were also pushing pretty hard, and I was going from low activity to high activity... I prefer to believe I was stoned, and not just exhausted. :laugh:0 -
