Who's going to put us over 700?

5.07km run at 11pm at night when I finally finished work. Chilly but quiet and comfortable. Very relaxed zone 1 run. 30 minutes.

Had a 2 year old medical issue pop back up so I'm restricting my exercise until I can get in to see a specialist. Hope to be back running again soon!

I've only logged 15.5 miles this week... Life hasn't been nice to my running schedule.

    746.83 + 15.5 = 762.33
  • 762.33 + 3.10 = 765.43

    765.43 + 3.25 = 768.68

    768.68 + 3.78 + 5.97 = 778.43

3.78mi treadmill run in 30 minutes on Friday following a 24mile stationary bike ride in 60 minutes in the gym.

5.97mi (supposed to be 5.9mi) race on Sunday around the Seawall in Vancouver. What an excellent day. PB'd the course in sub 47 minutes. Almost 2 minutes off my best for that course.

I think a "Race Report" thread is a stupendous idea! As far as the 12K ... It was "-EST" longest, farthest, highest... hahaha! Here is what I wrote on my facebook page:

"Race report: Got all packed the night before, woke up at 5 am, on the road at 6. Arrived on-site at 9:30 for a 10 am start. No time to fret! Weather was cold (30's), but clear & calm. I hung back at the start, and walked the first 5 minutes with the Sweep, then got into my intervals. That first incline was killer! +1000 ft in one mile! It took me :45 to do the first two miles straight uphill, but then it was all downhill from there! I was forced to ignore my "run" intervals on the way up, so to make up for it, I ignored most of my "walk" intervals on the way down! It was thrilling to discover I could run 5 min and walk 1 (downhill! ha!). I sure was ready for the finish line, but finished strong. David & Natalie ran escort with me thru the chute. ♥ Bonus #1: I wasn't last! Bonus #2: NO blisters! Bonus #3: I won a free pair of Scott shoes in the raffle! Overall, a fantastic experience. I'm ready to go back next year!"

    793.65 + 5.6 = 799.25

Alright, someone gets to take us over 800 pretty easily!

I'd say that we are going to hit 1000 sometime within the first week of November at this rate!

Leigh, that's an awesome race report! Congrats on your first 12km, sounds like it was tough but well worth the effort.

My race report from the jaunt on last Sunday is here: http://noattentionspan.com/blog/?p=2589

Three miles in the neighborhood today. Increased my intervals to 3 min run, 1 min walk (up from 2 min run, 1 min walk). Proud to announce my goal for the winter is to increase my running intervals until I can run straight through for a 5K.

7.2 in the last 3 days, so + 831.3= 838.5. I've got a 5 mile race tomorrow, so I'll try to remember to add it!
