Question: How big is *too* big....

If you have dimply thighs and bum then yoga pants are a no-no.0

Haha! With shorts and skirts I think the rule should be: IF IT IS WIDER THAN IT IS LONG....DON'T WEAR THEM!!!!0
-
If your not sure, ask a friend/loved one for their opinion...but pick someone that is not afraid to be honest with you.0

At my size 5'3 146lbs....anything above 160 IMO is too big. I just look like a fat little troll stuffed in spandex.0

/disagree.
Depending on the wearer of said clothing, obviously.0 -
ACK!!! I never wear yoga pants, sweat pants or leggings out in public unless I am at the gym or on my walks!0
-
Perhaps its because I'm jealous and wish I could wear yoga pants in public - but I say NEVER wear them in public.0

I dont mean public like grocery shopping or to the movies. I am thinking of my 5K in October... But there will be hundreds of people around and I don't want to blind or frighten anyone!0

If it feels good and fits well, that's all that counts.
If it cinches, binds, and makes for unsightly lumps, it doesn't fit well or feel good.0 -
I like to think 6'0" 225lbs would be too big to wear them in public...
I'm currently 6'0" 220.........0 -

oh....that is alright then! That is one of my exceptions!0 -
I was prepared to reply, "its not the size of the dog in the fight.... who am I kidding, the bigger the better" but, then you said yoga pants and I realized we weren't discussing what I "can't live without" in a man.
Anyways...
When it comes to yoga pants.. you wear them to do yoga/workout/dance, etc. Leggins are not PANTS.
But, if you're into horrorfic trends...
Don't squeeze an XL booty into a small pair of yoga pants JUST BECAUSE they stretch = see through and cottage cheese exposed.0 -

wear what is comfortable to you.. im sure if you're doing a 5k youre not in that bad of shape to look awful lol
like someone else said, ask a close friend or family member & they will (should) give you their honest opinion.0 -

Why?!
If you're comfortable being in the yoga pants and running your 5k, do it, they're out there running, and honestly, they're not going to be worrying about what you're wearing!0 -
I don't own any yoga pants...maybe I should? haha. I love to wear my plaid baggy pajama pants in public. Especially in locations where they look very out of place. Department stores, SOME offices, however, I cannot get away w/it in my place of work.0

Just pull a Lady Gaga and do your run in your undies.
GOOD LUCK!!0 -
Get yourself some running capris!! I would recommend either under armour or nike has a great dri fit pair!! Trust me they are worth the investment!! They smoth everything out and keep things from shakin when they are not suppose to!!0

Wearing yoga pants to a run - at ANY size is completely acceptable. you won't frighten or blind anyone. Besides, if they are so concerned about what you are doing instead of paying attention to themself and what they should be doing then they are too petty to be worried about anyway.0 -

I prefer wearing my spongebob jammies with my cooke monster slippers when I go out.0 -

I agree with this.
Plus, I think really good yoga pants are flattering on lots of shapes and sizes.0 -
Here's what my personal opinion on it is:
If other people can tell your *kitten* and thighs look like chewed up bubble gum.... DONT WEAR IT.0 -
Okay maybe I am just crazy but I love wearing my VS yoga pants out in public. I mean if I am having a chill night with friends and we are hitting up the movies, or going shopping I'll pair my VS pants with a cute small shirt and wear it. My absolute favorite pair are my UK Wildcats pair. Of course I wear those every time game day rolls around!
FYI I'm 148 and 5'5.5" with an athletic build. I dunno if you can say there is one specific weight you can't wear them at, I think it depends on your body type.0 -

And here I thought this thread would finally solve the problem I've had all my life... sigh...0
