Look good naked?

I feel that I look fine in my clothes, but not all that happy without them! I was totally not happy with myself the last time I saw myself in a dressing room mirror! Maybe this is an over 50 issue, not sure!

I can relate, although I'm 24 and about 15 kilos overweight. In clothes, I'm all proportional, the extra weight is a well kept secret :-) Liking myself without clothes, just requires a bit of ego nurturing sometimes.
  • Every woman will find one thing wrong with them when they are naked, including myself.

I've been feeling good about myself since losing 55lbs so far.... even in the mirror it's so much better than before. But... when I looked in the mirror in the dressing room of Kohl's the other day I looked horrid and very lumpy!!! I almost cried. It didn't feel like I had lost any weight. Yes, I'm still at least 30lbs overweight, but... it still was a shocker to look so bad compared to at home.

I guess there are things we all dislike about ourselves... no matter what.

You would think that the lighting would be adjusted to make us look really good, so they can sell the clothing!

I am sure every woman has insecurities when they are naked; however, there are some things that make me feel better when naked (even if it is just for me).
    * soft, touchable skin- putting on a great lotion helps with this and it also smells good (I use this lotion that smells like vanilla cupcakes  )
    * slight glow to my skin- I don't like "fake'n'baking", so I use a lotion with minimal self-tanner in it (don't go overboard with this though or you will end up looking like a pumpkin :noway: ... not the look I am going for anyways)
    * posture- if you are all slumped over nothing looks good, no matter what your body type!
    * CONFIDENCE- once you love yourself (even the imperfections), the confidence will exude from you and everyone (including yourself) will think you are a knock out!!

I look fabuolous in the mirror after about 4 glasses of wine. Now I just need to find a way of making sure everyone else drinks it as well LOL

OR Vodka, cheaper than botox and paralyses more muscles.

I am only just starting out, I started exercising last week and I did 4 days worth. TOM hit and now I am out of commission for a while but I find it funny that, even before working out I've always felt totally happy and comfortable- even ocassionally sexy looking- in my birthdaysuit (and in some sets of my scrubs) however puttin on a pair of jeans makes me feel like a blimp, lol. I guess I'm ur opposite :P

I actually like my appearance better when I'm nude. I can't muffin top over my own skin.

OMG!! I said birthday suit not bathing suit..... birthday suit means naked, ergo I feel better/more confident naked. I mentioned scrubs too because i think its weird that i feel sexier in my baggy scrubs than I do in jeans but its because in jeans I feel like meat being stuffed into a sausage casing where as in scrubs (and naked) i feel my actual/natural shape

Its not an age thing....I'm 25 and I am not comfortable naked...I'm not comfortable even in shorts. I'm working on accepting the stretch marks from having a baby & gaining 60lbs and the deflated boobs but its a challenge....

    I feel better covered up...

I'm with you! I was just having this conversation last night. I don't know that I'll ever be truly happy how I look without clothes. I think it's more of a psychological issue than a physical one though. I would love to be confident in how I look regardless, but that's just not me. :)
