5K - spot the Couch to 5K graduate! Working on Bridge to 10K but that includes walk breaks...

I didn't like the Bridge to 10k. I switched to the half marathon training, since that focused more on distance, rather than time.

I run until mt knees hates me. I actually had a stress fracture and was up to about 30 minutes. The cod has me on the bike for 6 weeks until the bone heals. I hope to be doing a 5K soon, that's the goal for this year!

    I'm up to two miles.

I'm training for a 5K in December, I'm also wanting to run every other day as part of my weight loss and maintenance regimen. I'm not doing any special program, just listening to my body as I run. Right now I'm running on asphalt near my home and sidewalks/trails in the area. My pace is averaging 9:30 mins to 11 mins per mile and I can run two without stopping, my breathing is good, its my legs and muscles that are tiring. If were to run today, I would not be able to do it. I'm not interested in over stressing my legs and feet. I run with Saucony OMNI 9 shoes, I over pronate, have flat feet and can aggravate an old stress fracture from years of tennis play on hard courts.

I can go about 30 minutes but use walking intervals after that. There is no shame in walking intervals - just as Jeff Galloway.

    I went 5 miles in 53 min.

I usually have a few stops on my normal workout, stoplights, cars, generally things that will kill me they hit me. Do you count these?

I am up to 2.6 miles. But, I only let myself go for 30 minutes. (Still a newbie and don't want injuries)

About to head for a run now.

It depends on how fast I run. If I run 9mph, I can run 5k (3.1miles) in 21min. If I run 7.5mph, I can run 10k(6.2miles) in 53min. If I run slower, I can run farther. If I slow down to 5.2mph, I can pretty much run indefinitely (or a marathon), provided I get enough fluids along the way.

Right now my limit is 45 mins, but I'm not sure how many miles that is. I want to be able to run a 1/2 marathon though, so I'm trying to increase my time/distance.
