  • Im in I love to dance~ This 1 hour class goes by so fast and its not even like exercising. I also do a hip hop class at my YMCA 2 times a week. If you have never tried and are nervous about rhythm issues, go to the back of the class and try it at least 3 times. No one is watching you.....trust me. Tooo busy watching instructor.

    alright, i did zumba really late. I just felt so guilty not doing it. It didn't hurt my shin to do it, so its all good =)

    Okay I did my 2 hour zumbathon...I'd estimate 600 calories? No more Zumba until Wednesday! :(

    Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA the last three days. I got a new job (yay!) and I've been so busy setting up my classroom and making lesson plans. Not only that, but I had a sick baby. So I didn't get any Zumba done this weekend! I feel SO immensly guilty! But, its a new month and I'm back on the wagon:

    Okay, this is probably dumb, but how do you know you are taking your measurements in the EXACT same spot each time? Is there an art to this? I mean different parts of my arms, legs, etc. have a very different measurement...I can't tell if I'm in the right spot, & depending on if I'm an inch or 2 off from last time, I could have lost OR gained inches...& I really don't think I've gained any! Maybe I need to have my measurements done by someone who knows what they're doing so they'd be accurate. But who? I'm about to just give up on relying on measurements.

    I've only lost about 6 lbs since the start of the challenge, which is kind of disappointing, but it's just been a slow month for me weight loss wise compared to the previous 2 months.

    Also, here is yesterday's workout:
    11/5/11
    60 minute class (half toning, half regular)
    medium intensity
    350 calories burned

    I have to miss tomorrow's class AGAIN so I won't have any more zumba until Wednesday. I'm going to the gym today (which is usually a rest day) & doing kickboxing on Tuesday to make up for it!

    I think I generally measure in the same place. Its hard to tell, i know you feel! While I'm measuring my waist, i bend side to side. The place where you bend is where your waist is (for women). I then put my hands on where my hips are (like if i'm mad) and that's where I measure my hips. I don't really measure my chest because I'm nursing.

    My measurements are:

    Weight: 205lbs (-3 lbs since the beginning of the challenge)
    Waist: 35.5"

    everything else pretty much stayed the same, which kind of sucks! oh well! =) at least i got some down!
