In case you haven't heard, the peanut crop in the U.S. has been severely hurt by bad weather and the price of peanut items is expected to increase by 40% beginning next month. Stock up now folks!

    Yup. Trader Joe's has already had to raise the price on some of their peanut butters.

    Good thing I get my natty peanut butter from a lovely old man who grows his own at the market :-)
    edit: now's the time to buy almond butter, or blend a bunch of roasted unsalted almonds in your food processor with some honey ;) makes really yummy butter!

    yeah i was at sams club today and i heard 2 employees talking about how they just marked it up and it went up by 30%

    I wonder if brands like PB&Co will mark theirs up as much, as they seem to have a higher markup already. No worries though, six jars of Dark Chocolate Dreams, 4 Jars cinn raisin swirl, and three jars white chocolate wonderful. That should get me through the new year.
