I miss the innocence and saefty of the days in my childhood when you could walk around the streets at night with your friends (not doing anything bad) and still be safe.

Good radio where you would hear at least 2 semi-decent songs in a 10 minute period and maybe one advert.
1c candies. A whole bag for $1.00. 100 candies. SUGAR!!!
Arcades, super-sessions where you would pay $10 and have 2 to 3 hours of unlimited gaming.
"I miss the innocence and safety of the days in my childhood when you could walk around the streets at night with your friends (not doing anything bad) and still be safe." - totally agree Kathy.\
Collecting comic or basketball cards and thinking you'd be rich in a few years if you held onto them.
Reebok pumps being the coolest shoe ever, I never got a pair.
Playing basketball for hours every day after school.

Staying out all day and not coming home until dinner
Riding our bikes, everywhere, for hours at a time, our parents not knowing where we were and not being worried about it

I remember this... We used to ride our bikes as far as we could go. Now, I don't let my kids go down the block alone, much less several neighborhoods over, like I did as a kid.

    Oh, and parachute pants.

  • What about those pencils where you just pulled the tip out and put it in the bottom when it got low, and it would be replaced with a sharp one? I had scented ones... and what was up with using the end as an eraser even though it didn't erase anything lol

Ooh nostalgia. And on the subject of school supplies (I mean it was so fun to shop for school supplies)... Lisa frank, and (ditto to the person who said) gel pens.

And when it was cool to wear your bangs as two strands that came down your face?
