What to serve with Spaghettie

 I know the traditional side of choice with spaghetti is salad. However, I sometimes get bored with the same thing all the time. Does anyone have suggestions on other low-carb sides for this dish?

i dont know either, so usually mix different things into the spaghetti so its not so boring like the usual tomato sauce :/

the other day i made a DELICIOUS one, that i just served with bread....well, it was spaghetti squash but just as easily made with regular spaghetti or pasta!! just made a sauce of milk with some goat cheese, sauteeed some garlic with sun dried tomatoes in olive oil, mixed it together with the cheese sauce, tossed in some spinach, tossed it together with the spaghetti squash and mixed in some feta cheese.....breadcrumbs on top, baked it for about 30 min! D E L I C I O U S!!

BUT DEPENDING how your cooking hte pasta can vary.... vegetables, bread, some kind of protein (chicken, veal, a steak) uhhmmm.....i dunno lol i would need to know how the pasta is being cooked first :)

How about just the spaghetti? You have your meat, starch, tomatoes, etc. You could have a piece of fruit for dessert.

I like it with texas toast! Yum! :) I know, bread's not good.....ha

She did say low carb. Although, if we're going for low carb, why eat spaghetti at all? Why not have your sauce on spaghetti squash? Eliminates the carbs of the pasta and gives you a veggie to boot...

Exactly. I was confused by poster stating low carb in the same sentence as spaghetti...
    squash for the win...

Add onions, garlic and lots of peppers to the sauce. I never have a side with spaghetti, it takes up the whole plate already for <400 cals to have an additional 'side'.

I usually serve garlic bread and a big fat ol' dry aged rib eye, baked garlic and parsley sweet potato fries and bacon wrapped asparagus. Then I just toss the spaghetti and garlic bread out the window.
