November Challenge and Support Group

For the past 2 months I managed the September Shred & The Loss-tober Fest Challenges. It was a great experience! Lots of weight lost on our team so I'm looking to do it again this month! I'm looking for about 20 MFPs to join us in trying to lose 10 pounds in November (or a percentage of their weight loss goal - 10 pouns is a lot I know!). Most people didn't lose 10 but it was still a great experience. Our weigh in day is Friday (if you weigh in on another day just let me know). We will have nutritional and exercise challenges each week to aid in losing those 10 pounds. You must be willing to support your teammates by just being an active mfp! I'll take the first 20 mfps who think they can dedicate themselves to one month of ramping it up to burn off those pounds. Send me a friend request or private message with your November starting weight and I'll set up a spread sheet to track our data and create a new thread for us to chat on!! Oh we need a catchy name for the month and I created a banner graphic for sept and oct and will do it again for this month so let me know if you have any ideas!

    I've been afraid to get on the scales lately, and tonight would be too frightening even for Halloween :) I'll weigh in the A.M. and post then. Thanks for starting this group:flowerforyou:

    We need a name.... no clue what to call us so any ideas are welcome... thinking of something to do with thanksgiving...

    WEEK 1 CHALLENGE!!!

    This week's challenge is to create a plan for the month... Some people already have plans and that's great! If not think about what you have been doing ... what has worked and what hasn't and create a basic outline of what you want to do this month.... If you haven't been exercising at all be sure to start trying to work something in even if it is only walking for a few minutes at a time. Post your plan so others can get ideas for things to include in their plan. As for nutrition... I'm going to start with what has turned out to be the hardest thing for people (including myself) to do.... DRINK 8 glasses of water for the remaining 3 days this week!

    My plan for November

    1. At least 3 miles a day on my bike
    2. 10+ glasses of water a day
    3. Burn at least 200 calories a day
    4. Start and finish 30DS
    5. Lose 10 pounds!

    I'd like to join. I'm doing 30DS for the next month and will probably need the extra support to stick with it. I am also still figuring out how to manage my food so any extra accountability and support is great.

    Yes lets do this!!! my goal is to do some zumba everyday and to try to exercise even on the days that i work... since that is the time of the week where i have a hard time working out
  • My November Plan

    -walk at 15miles per week
    -do JM's 30DS 5 days a week
    -burn at least 300 cal per day
    -drink 8 glasses of water per day
    -stay within my calorie intake
    -loose 10 pounds

    My Plan for November that carries over from October:

    1. Drinking 12+ glasses of water a day
    2. Burning at least 1000 calories 4-5x a week
    3. Watching my sodium and eating low sodium meals and snacks

    New plan of action for November:
    1. Eating/ juicing more fruits an veggies a day
    2. Lowering amout of processed foods till I get to 0
    3. Adding Butt Bibble into my workout on my "rest days"

    - Log all food
    - Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
    - Exercise 30 minutes a day 5 times a week
    - Get more sleep!

    Starting weight 149
    Goals are:
    Drinking more water... at least 8 glasses
    Exercising at least 20 minutes every day
    Staying under my calories every day (way too many sweets lately)

    My November plan includes:
    - Drink 8-10 glasses of water/day
    - maintain myself within my 1200 calories/day
    - walk 60 min/4 x's a week
    - zumba 4 x's a week
    - eat more veggies (weakest point)

    m- Arms - 30 mins
    t- Run - at least 30 min
    w- Legs - 30 mins
    th- Run - at least 30 min
    f- rest
    sa- Run - long run, 60 min plus
    su- Core work - 30 mins

    8 glasses of water is no issue for me.

    Hey Everyone!

    I hope I can still join the November Challenge and Support Group. I recently re-joined Weight Watchers, trying to lose these last 30 pounds, and really enjoy the online MFP community.

    My November starting weight: 166.4 lbs. My goal weight (for now) is 145 lbs.

    Goals for November:

    1) Lose 1lb every week or 5lbs by the end of the month
    2) Exercise 6 days per week
    3) Stay motivated especially during the weekends to make healthy choices

    I'd love the support of this group, and would love to be a support to other MFP members in this group throughout the month!

    I'd like to be in on it if I have time?

    Start weight today: 214lbs

    Plan for November:
    Walk a total of 150 miles
    Gym at least 3 times a week
    Exercise for at least 15 minutes a day even on rest days
    No 'cheat' days!

    Also, did you know an average Turkey weighs 10-12lbs? Lose a Turkey for Turkey-Day? =D
