Beginner's Challenge November

So I noticed people are doing challenges to get motivated and support eachother, so I thought I'd do one too. I decided to make it simple for people who are just starting or who are having trouble getting their butts moving (ME!) This challenge will start today November 1st, and end November 30th! Now I'm ok with people starting anytime throughout the month, but you have to give it your all and we have to help cheer eachother on! Now here's our challenge

40 Miles
300 Crunches
300 Push ups
300 Lunges
300 Squats

That's the total amount to do this month, 40 miles is 10 miles a week (2 miles for five days!) That seems pretty simple!
Now we'll post in here on saturday our totals from the week! WHO'S IN?!?!?

    Sounds great to me! now on the miles, that counts as treadmill/elliptical/stationary bike and taking walks right?!

    I want in too! Although full disclosure: I'm not exactly a "beginner" lol. I've been at this weight loss thing for years!

    lol I'm not a beginner either, I'm just lazy and the only thing that makes me do something is getting other people to do it too

    Started working out this morning! A friend told me about this site...i accept your challenge! I plan to complete this goal...as long as my legs come back from the "jelly leg" feeling!! lol <3 it!

    40 Miles...will be a sinch (i think)!
    300 Crunches...ill do my best!
    300 Push ups...---my only downfall. i cant do push ups to save my life. i will probably trade those out for dumbbell curls!
    300 Lunges....doable!
    300 Squats ....hope my legs dont buckle!! :)

  • Trybdoing push ups with your knees on the floor, easier and doable but still work your chest x

    5 Days/Week
    2 miles
    15 crunches
    15 Dumbbell curls(or pushups)
    15 Lunges
    15 squats

    4 Days/Week
    2.5 miles
    19Crunches /day
    19Dumbbell curls (or pushups)
    19Lunges
    19Squats


    (((((The only reason i changed to dumbbell curls is bc I have had Open Heart Surgery(OHS) and its uncomfortable to do pushups. )))))

    Only ran today, 2 miles I believe. And Did 30 min on my spin bike. I'm not sure how that converts to miles.
    About to do 50 crunches. :p

    I got 3 miles in 23 crunches 23 pushups 23 lunges and 23 squats...I'm exhausted lol

    I like the breakdown as well. Makes it seem a lot more realistic/achievable.

    I am just seeing this thread so I have some catching up to do w/ the exception of the walking. I do get on the treadmill every morning before work and usually manage to get in about 2.25 miles (fast paced walk).

    I will work on catching up on the rest this weekend. Wish me luck! LOL

    110 pushups, 20 crunches,16 squats,... pretty good start i think...

    I'm in. sounds like fun. so far i have done 48 squats, 32 lunges, 24 crunches, and about 2 miles.

    This week I got in

    3.5 miles
    23 crunches
    23 squats
    23 lunges
    23 push ups

    Less than what I had planned on, but it's way better than nothing!
