Yeehaw for Wyoming!

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, New York scientists
found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the
conclusion, that their ancestors already had a telephone network more
than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, a
California archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a
story in the LA Times read: California archaeologists, finding traces
of 200 year old copper wire, have concluded
that their ancestors already
had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier
than the New Yorkers.

One week later, The Buffalo Bulletin, a local newspaper in Wyoming,
reported the following: After digging as deep as 300 feet in his pasture
near his ranch in Johnson County, Wyoming, Rowdy Spurs, a self- taught
archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Rowdy has
therefore

concluded that 300 years ago, Wyoming had already gone wireless.

Thank God for Rowdy. Who said Cowboys were slow?

Funny thing about this joke....parts of wyoming cant even get caller ID let alone have wireless phone systems!! Having lived there for most of my life, I got really upset when people would ask if I parked my car at the border and rode my horse in....now I think there was a lot of truth to that statement.

oh and of course GO POKES!!!!!

Isn't that the truth! Right now we don't have a phone to our house because it's too far to run a line. Plus our neighbors (I use this term loosly:laugh: ) that do have phones, don't have any service from about November - April, and yes those are land lines, not cells. Everybody around here has the CB radios and that's how everybody communicates and relays messages.:laugh:

Okay I thought I grew up in the "sticks" of WY but apparently not cuz we had a phone line all 13 years we lived there. Can I ask where you live??
