I have always been a poor speller and it really bugged me...

Until I found out the Einstein was a poor speller. When asked about it his reply was..."I never commit to memory things that can be looked up."

After I read that I quit feeling bad about not being able to spell.

My problem is that stuff often commits itself to my own memory without me even trying. I quite frequently have "I don't know how or why I know this but I do" moments.

This happened to me today! LOL... But this does happen to me often. It's usually when I'm in school and my brain is just worn out. It takes me a minute to write simple words or read simple words. Mind just goes blank! Craziest thing makes me feel like I’m loosin it! Lol.

Oh and I am also a BAD speller! I’ve never ever been good. I just cannot remember.... It irritates me when people say if you're a poor speller you should read more. At this stage in my life, I KNOW there is nothing I can do about it. It has no relation to my intelligence level... I just can’t remember the order of letter as well as others! Runs in my family too!

To the Original Poster: TURN OFF CAPS LOCK!

Typing in all capital letters is considered shouting (and it is also irritating to try and read it) :flowerforyou:

    Thank you! :flowerforyou:

i think that this comment was really not needed.... and if i want to type in all capital letters... then so be it.... who r u to tell me how im suppose to do certain things..... Thank u.... very much....

I was simply pointing out that in the etiquette of typing, the use of all capital letters is considered to be:-
    (a) an angry tone, and,
    (b) shouting
And in addition makes it very difficult to read, thereby causing most people to ignore the content of the post. :flowerforyou:

I agree with Thomas, the caps are way more annoying than a few spelling errors.

And it's "you" not "u", and "are" not "r". You start a thread to discuss your issues with correct spelling and proceed to defile the thread with the most horrible offender of all...text-speak! It is the texting that has caused your spelling dysfunction in the first place, most likely! Too many people spell worse now than they did in school. It's such a shame.

once again....i really dont need for u to tell me anything.... and yes ... i know that u is spelled you... and r is spelled r.... and like i said before... if u didn like what i said... guess what ... u should have just DID like some of the rest of the ppl on here AND kept it to urself....now ......oh yeah .... i also know that ppl is spelled people.....
