if you want to go, get whatever you want and fit it into your macros, it's not really rocket science, nor do you need approval from others to eat out
She's not asking for your permission. She's asking for nutritional advice. If you have a problem with that, why don't you just ignore the post instead of trying to make her feel bad?
You don't know what a person has going on in real life, and your snarky remark might really hurt a person. Just because you can't see her face doesn't mean you have to be a snot.
To the question ... If you have the money and want to, go ahead and go. There are good choices to avoid both fat and calories, and using the web site in advance is a good idea. Even cheese and mayo are okay, if you account for it and want it.
My wife and I went last week. I had a 12" roast beef (I ate half that day and half the next) with mustard (no mayo, I'm really trying to cut back), loaded on veggies, and whichever bread was listed with the least sodium. I don't remember which now.

Subway tends to have a lot of sodium, keep that in mind as well.

That being said if you completely restrict yourself it's far harder to stick with a diet long term. Make sure you order something you have the calories to eat, adjust your meals for the rest of the day so that you meet your macro goals, and enjoy yourself."0 -
I eat Subway on average 3 times a week.
If you're worried about calories AND sodium, the roasted chicken salad with the sweet onion teriyaki sauce as a dressing is a good bet. Actually, I think the roasted chicken is the lowest sodium protein there. Add the 6 inch serving of avocado and it's only 220 calories and 365 mgs of sodium. Pricewise it's $6.09 depending on your state's sales tax.
Or get a sandwich and either take off half the bread or have them dig the insides out for you. I've started to have them do that when I order a sandwich (which is rarely) and I can't even tell the difference (and I'm a complete carboholic)!0 -
I eat Subway probabably 2x per week. I normally get a 6" oven roasted chicken with all the veggies, double meat, pepper jack and mustard and vinegar.0

Absolutely yes to subway. I've been getting their $3 breakfast with 16oz coffee and egg white, cheese and veggie flatbread (330 kcal!!!!). and I loooove it....0

I go almost 5 times a week for work lunch, I get a footlong Turkey Breast Sandwich on 9 Grain Wheat with American Cheese. I add tomatoes, cucumbers and pickles, 3 stripes of mustard and 8 of red wine vinegar and it's only 660 cals! If you get 6'' it would be only 330, this sandiwch is deliciouuuuuussss, I highly recommend!My friend wants me to go to subway with her on Tuesday (if I have the $$$). Should I? What do I get? OR should I pretend I dont have the $$$?0

I love their oven roasted chicken breast salad. i get it with all the veggies and then ask for oil/vinegar on the side so I can measure out and a dash of lite ranch dressing.
I agree with all the others -- Subway is probalby the safest place TO go out to eat with all the nutritional info. posted you can look online and select your meal ahead of time to fit into your goals.0 -
