I just hate that too! I completely understand. The ones that ask you if you're not eating crappy food because you are on a "diet" and do not understand the aspect of the "life style change” you are trying to make. Using the word diet suggest that it is a temporary change. Also, worse if it is an individual that has never had to struggle with weight loss.
Would they take an alcoholic out to the bar? (A little dramatic but hey…)
  • i am not exactly sure how asking you if you want to go eat is being anti-supportive of your weight loss.

    If it went like

Them: Hey, I am hungry want to go eat?
You: Sure thing, what did you have in mind?
Them: Pizza Ice cream pie hut.
You: Actually, I am still trying to watch my calories, can we go to Light and Thin Pizza salad hut?
Them: No! Come on! You don't need to be watching your calories! If you want to come eat with me you have to eat a lot! If you don't come with me and eat a lot we aren't friends anymore! EAT MORE!

Okay, maybe that last line was a little dramatic, but really... they are just asking you out to eat. If they won't compromise with you or try and help find a place where you could find healthier options, then I could see how it would be really annoying.

A friend of mine sometimes asks if she can buy me lunch after we go hiking and I just say no thanks I'd rather eat at home. She's not trying to sabotage me, she's just trying to be friendly.
