Today I stepped on the scale and the number on it took me back to a memory of junior high. It was back when we had a day when the whole school was weighed and measured. For what purpose I still don't know. I remember standing in line behind a stick of a girl who was on the drill team and her popularity far outweighed her intelligence. It was really humiliating to be weighed in front of everyone. Junior high is a terrible time to start being judged by your weight anyway. I remember her jumping on the scale just a head of me and them saying, 124 pounds. Why did she have to be the one in line before me. I don't remember what my weight was that day. But today I stepped on the scale and it said, 124 pounds.

I weigh less now than I did in junior high. Now that feels good.

Go you!!! I had a similar experience in High School. Whats funny is now I am smaller than she is. I know it's mean, but I get a smug happiness about it. She liked to call me tubby tummy. :(

nope, your right, its always a nsv when u get to see the ppl who had comments when u were younger, that are now larger than u!!
  • We were weighed in front of everyone at my Middle School too. I remember I was (I think) 129lbs or so, and they told me I was overweight. (I'm 5'2"). I'm 129lbs now, and I still feel like it's far too fat. I'll never get it out of my head that I was called overweight, even though I know I'm in a healthy BMI.

:flowerforyou: I cried and cheered for you at exactly the same time. I didn't get made fun of much in highschool but I still take great pleasure in the fact that I am smaller now than I was then... Made for a GREAT reunion a couple years ago!

As far as the flash back... AWESOME, simply AWESOME!
